Chapter 146 - Oh~ I almost forgot about that person

The next day, Kyros went to the study with an excited look flickering in his eyes.

 "Inform the queen—I need to see her immediately." He glanced at Nalia, who made no effort to conceal her obvious dislike for him.

"I'm sorry, I can't do that. Her Majesty ordered that you not disturb her unless she summons you," Nalia said politely, though a subtle hint of mockery and provocation lingered beneath her words.

Kyros frowned inwardly, not showing it on the outside, as he weighed whether to barge in or knock Nalia out and go in.

Some passing maids noticed the tense atmosphere and hurried to hang the crystal lights in the hallway for the night.

They shone softly, only fully illuminating the environment when the sky darkened. Kyros and Nalia faced off. Nalia held her ground, not budging an inch, no matter how Kyros tried to pressure her with his gaze.

Suddenly, a calm footstep echoed inside, and Nalia turned toward the door and opened it just as Cyra stepped out.
