The six children looked at each other before one of them spoke.
"We'll go into hiding, bide our time, and assassinate the queen when she least expects." Though his voice quivered slightly, he answered logically, unaware that he was speaking to the queen.
Elora gave a dry laugh at his response. "Naïve." She said curtly and turned to the other children, wanting to see if someone had another idea.
But they remained silent, fully backing his idea.
"How can you go into hiding with such a big crowd of children? And pray tell, how will you survive on nothing—no power, no food—and on an island until the queen relaxes her guard so you can assassinate her?" Elora asked, speaking about herself in the third person, as if it were the most normal thing.
At her words, the children became lost in thought, unable to come up with a reply.
