"So, you have people in every castle?" Elora inquired in a casual tone, showing no concern, but her reaction would have been different if Thorn were not her consort.
Thorn was quiet for a moment, his gaze resting on her face, seeking any hint of displeasure in her expression.
Finding none, he relaxed, growing bolder to say, "Your Majesty, I'm a prince in another kingdom… information is important to survive."

Thorn squirmed under her gaze, sensing she already knew he was the one, and he couldn't lie openly.
