Whatever the Hidden Mist's Anbu were up to, Seimei didn't care. With the Three-Tails in tow, he activated the "Flying Thunder God Technique." In an instant, he teleported dozens of kilometers away from the lake.
This was a dense jungle, marked by one of his old Flying Thunder God seals—perfect for a teleportation point.
The moment he and the beast appeared, the ground trembled violently. Huge swaths of trees toppled, crushed beneath the Three-Tails' massive bulk.
Good thing it was the dead of night. In broad daylight, this would've definitely caught someone's attention.
Still, this was the Land of Water, Hidden Mist territory. He couldn't linger.
Who knew how the Hidden Mist would react once they realized the Three-Tails had been snatched?
Seimei figured they'd immediately organize a search party, combing the area around the lake where the Three-Tails had been hiding.
As for the search radius…
Ten kilometers was the most likely range.
That was about the limit for an average ninja.
To be safe, they might extend it to twenty or even thirty kilometers.
But anything beyond that? Unlikely.
After all, by normal standards, even a Kage-level ninja using space-time ninjutsu couldn't travel too far with a Tailed Beast in tow.
What they couldn't possibly account for was Seimei's chakra reserves, far beyond ordinary. Even without using his full chakra, he'd teleported dozens of kilometers away in one go.
Still, that was no reason to get cocky.
As the saying goes: the longer the night, the more room for trouble.
With the Three-Tails in hand, there was no point wasting time here. Sealing it and getting out fast was the way to go.
The Hidden Mist was one of the five great ninja villages, second only to the Hidden Leaf in Bloodline Limit users. Who knew what kind of bizarre abilities they might have that could track him down?
Since he'd avoided clashing with the Hidden Mist during the capture, there was even less reason to stir trouble now.
Better to leave ASAP.
With that thought, Seimei stopped dawdling. He opened his ninja tool pouch and pulled out a metal orb.
This was something he'd had his shadow clones back in the village prepare over the past few days, gathering materials specifically for the Three-Tails.
It was his third sealing tool made entirely of chakra-conductive metal.
The first two already held the Four-Tails, Seven-Tails, and half of the Nine-Tails. This one was crafted to seal the Three-Tails and any other Tailed Beasts he might capture later.
Snapping his focus back, Seimei looked up at the Three-Tails, still standing motionless.
He slowly raised the metal orb.
Then, he poured chakra into it, activating the "All-Encompassing Seal."
Instantly, intricate sealing formulas materialized, transforming into chakra chains that shot out and plunged into the Three-Tails' body.
The beast's aura fluctuated wildly under the strain, its Tailed Beast chakra surging outward.
At the same time, the triple-tomoe Sharingan reflected in its pupils—induced by Seimei's "Illusion: Sharingan"—began to blur, as if it were about to fade.
If it vanished completely, the Three-Tails would break free of the illusion's control.
But it never got the chance.
Seeing this, Seimei let out a cold huff. A torrent of ocular power surged from his eyes, flooding into the Three-Tails' mind.
In an instant, the triple-tomoe Sharingan in its pupils sharpened, and the beast stopped struggling.
A few moments later, with Seimei's command of "Seal," the chakra chains retracted rapidly, pulling the Three-Tails into the metal orb.
Seimei extended his mental energy into the orb, carefully inspecting the seal to ensure it was secure before releasing the illusion.
"ROAR!"
The next moment, a deafening bellow erupted from the Three-Tails, so loud it stung Seimei's eardrums.
He reached up to rub his ears, annoyed. "What's with all the yelling?"
The Three-Tails didn't quiet down. If anything, its roars grew louder, dripping with rage.
Seimei could tell the beast was furious.
And no wonder—freshly resurrected, barely enjoying a few days of freedom, it was napping peacefully when someone snatched it out of nowhere. Any Tailed Beast would be pissed.
Especially since Seimei's method was, frankly, a bit underhanded—practically a sneak attack.
How could the Three-Tails not resent that?
But resentment changed nothing. In Seimei's hands, escape was impossible.
"Quit roaring!" he said flatly.
The Three-Tails roared back, "Damn it, you sneaky Uchiha brat! If you've got the guts, let me go, and we'll have a real fight! What kind of skill is a cheap ambush? Is this all the Uchiha clan's got left?"
Seimei smirked at the taunt.
A fair fight? Why complicate things when a simple solution worked?
Besides, even if he released it, did it really think it could take him?
Setting aside the Mangekyo Sharingan's natural advantage over Tailed Beasts, his newly mastered "Sage Mode" alone was enough to dominate it.
And that wasn't even counting his arsenal of A- and S-rank ninjutsu. If he unleashed them all, even a Tailed Beast wouldn't stand a chance.
A single "Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World" would be more than enough to make it regret crossing him.
Dismissing the thought, Seimei ignored the Three-Tails' impotent fury and withdrew his mental energy from the sealing space.
After restoring a bit of his chakra, he activated the "Flying Thunder God Technique" again, teleporting back to Moon Island.
Unbeknownst to him, shortly after he left, a figure appeared at the spot.
Clad in a long robe and wearing a spiral mask, who else could it be but Obito Uchiha?
Why was he here?
Simple. As Seimei had suspected, Obito had been keeping tabs on the Hidden Mist, naturally noticing any unusual activity.
But Obito was a step behind. He hadn't planted enough spies in the village to get precise intel on the Three-Tails' resurrection, allowing Seimei to beat him to the punch.
Still, Obito's reaction was quick.
He arrived just a short while later.
His ability to pinpoint this exact location was thanks to Black Zetsu.
To support Obito's plans, Black Zetsu had sent White Zetsu to the Land of Water in advance, allowing them to sense the Three-Tails' chakra outburst and track it here.
Otherwise, Obito might not have found this place even by tomorrow.
This only proved Seimei's caution was warranted. Had he not sealed the Three-Tails swiftly and left, he might've run into Obito right then and there.
While Seimei didn't fear him, at this moment, it was better they didn't cross paths.
