Sitting in place, Seimei took a moment to think things over before deciding not to waste any more time. He raised his hands, forming the "Ram" hand sign, and once again performed the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique.

Poof! Poof! Poof!

With bursts of chakra smoke, 550 shadow clones appeared around him.

That's right—just earlier, when those ten shadow clones were testing the effects of the Sage Mode after getting the hang of it, Seimei had already recalled the rest of his clones.

So now, it was time to kick off a new round of training.

Looking at the group of shadow clones, Seimei, as usual, split them into two groups. Three hundred of them were sent off to Moon Island and the dense forests in the northeastern part of the Land of Fire to absorb natural energy.

The remaining 250 shadow clones continued working on developing the Kekkei Moura.

It's worth noting that after all his recent experiments, Seimei had started to form some new ideas about how to fuse the seven chakra nature transformations.

It wouldn't be long before he could increase the number of shadow clones dedicated to developing the Kekkei Moura.

When that happened, the speed at which he gained experience would skyrocket.

Snapping out of his thoughts, Seimei sent the shadow clones on their way.

Then, he raised his hands again, forming seals to cast the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique once more, creating ten new shadow clones. He infused each of them with an equal amount of natural energy.

After finishing, Seimei looked at the ten clones and said directly, "Alright, you guys train around here for now!"

The ten shadow clones nodded in response, each finding a spot to settle down. They began blending the chakra and natural energy within them, preparing to enter Sage Mode.

As for Seimei himself? He used the Flying Thunder God Technique to teleport to the volcano beneath Moon Island, where he continued training his Body of the Extreme to strengthen his physical form.

It had only been a little over a month since his last physical transformation.

By his calculations, reaching the next transformation threshold would take about five more months.

So, he had to make the most of his time and train hard.

---

Time ticked by, second by second.

In the blink of an eye, an hour had passed.

Seimei paused his Body of the Extreme training and returned to the surface. He dispelled the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique, recalling all his shadow clones.

It took about fifteen minutes for him to absorb and process the training experiences and memories from the clones over the past hour.

Putting other skills aside for now, his Sage Mode proficiency had gone up by one point compared to an hour ago, rising from 25 to 26.

This made Seimei pretty happy.

Sure, a single point increase wasn't a huge deal—some might even call it small—but it proved his approach was on the right track.

As long as he kept experimenting, the speed at which he gained proficiency in Sage Mode would only get faster.

How could that not excite him?

The only downside was that the chakra cost for training Sage Mode hadn't gone down.

Seimei figured that a noticeable reduction would probably only come after he leveled it up.

For now, though, the roughly 100,000 chakra points he was burning per hour was still manageable.

In terms of chakra, he was generating about 5.52 million points daily, so spending a million or so wasn't a big deal.

As for natural energy? He was already absorbing a bit more than he needed each day, so burning through some of it was actually a good thing.

Even if his natural energy demands increased later and his daily surplus wasn't enough, he wasn't worried.

After all, he had a stockpile of 30 million natural energy points stored in the sealing space in his abdomen.

And if that ran out? He could just create more shadow clones to absorb even more natural energy.

With his current mental strength, creating a few hundred extra shadow clones just for gathering natural energy was no problem at all.

So, Seimei wasn't too concerned about it.

Clearing his mind, he stopped overthinking and popped a few enhanced soldier pills to replenish the energy he'd just spent. Then, he cast the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique again, creating 560 shadow clones in two batches.

And just like that, a new round of training began.

Round after round, by mid-afternoon, he had finally accumulated the 200 proficiency points needed to level up his Sage Mode.

---

In a clearing at the center of Moon Island, Seimei opened his eyes.

With a thought, he pulled up his proficiency panel.

Sure enough, his Sage Mode had gone from Level 1 to Level 2.

Along with that, his understanding of Sage Mode had deepened significantly.

Now, not only could he enter Sage Mode faster, but he could also maintain it for longer.

However, this came with a catch—his chakra consumption hadn't decreased. In fact, it had gone up a bit.

After a quick test, Seimei found that if he kept using ten shadow clones, he'd burn through about 120,000 chakra and natural energy points per hour—20% more than the previous 100,000.

This might seem like it went against his earlier predictions.

But it didn't!

Maintaining Sage Mode for longer meant he could gain proficiency faster.

For example, after reaching Level 2, he was now gaining about 35 proficiency points per hour.

When you broke it down, each proficiency point now cost around 3,500 chakra and natural energy points.

That was noticeably lower than the 4,000 points per proficiency point before.

So, his predictions were spot-on.

With these thoughts swirling in his mind, Seimei refocused, took a short break, and then dove into another round of training.

Unfortunately, leveling Sage Mode from Level 2 to Level 3 required 500 proficiency points. Even with his increased proficiency gains, he wouldn't be able to level up today.

By late night, when he wrapped up his training, his Sage Mode proficiency had reached Level 2 (280/500), just over halfway there.

The good news? With ten shadow clones, he was now gaining 43 proficiency points per hour.

At this rate, he'd need less than seven hours tomorrow to hit Level 3.

When that happened, his understanding of Sage Mode would deepen even further, and his proficiency gains would speed up again.

Seimei was already looking forward to reaching Level 5, when Sage Mode would undergo a major qualitative change. At that point, he'd make a second adjustment to his training plan.

By then, his chakra consumption and proficiency gains would stabilize.

Plus, with the higher proficiency requirements for each level, he wouldn't need to tweak his training plan as often.

With that in mind, Seimei returned to Moon Island, cleaned up, and settled in to rest.
