Chapter 713 - Chapter 711: Successive Advancements

The next day. Morning.

It was still the same island.

Seimei opened his eyes, having fully absorbed the training experiences and memories of his shadow clones over the past hour. He then converted them into proficiency points for his respective skills.

After that, just like in the past few hours, he raised his hand once more and performed the Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu, creating more than a dozen clones to continue training.

But at that moment, his movements suddenly paused, and he closed his eyes again.

Time ticked by, minute by minute.

Soon, a few minutes passed.

Seimei finally reopened his eyes.

A realization surfaced in his mind, causing a thoughtful gleam to flash through his eyes.

With a single thought, Seimei opened his proficiency panel.

Just as he had expected, the Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu he had just cast was like the last straw that broke the camel's back, allowing him to gather the final bit of proficiency needed. The skill on his panel had finally advanced from LV8 to LV9 (0/0), reaching the limit of an A-rank Ninjutsu.

As for the changes it brought…

Seimei glanced at his shadow clones, who had yet to disperse, and with a simple motion of his hand, he dismissed the Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu.

Poof! Poof! Poof!

With bursts of chakra-infused smoke, all the clones vanished.

Immediately after, he formed the Ram hand seal again and recast the Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu.

In the next moment, over a dozen figures reappeared.

Seimei carefully observed the casting process and the state of the newly summoned clones, eventually summarizing the changes that came with advancing the Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu from LV8 to LV9.

The first change was in chakra consumption. Originally, the total chakra consumed was equal to 4% of all the clones' combined chakra, but now, that amount had decreased to 2%.

This change wasn't particularly noticeable when summoning only a few clones.

In such cases, the chakra evenly distributed among the clones was still substantial enough to mitigate most of the loss.

However, when summoning hundreds or even thousands of clones, the difference became significant.

At that point, the main body would only retain a minimal fraction of its chakra, making the reduced consumption quite impactful.

For instance, with his current chakra pool of 300,000 points, a 2% reduction equated to saving 6,000 chakra points per cast.

In combat situations, where he might need to cast the technique multiple times, this chakra conservation would be incredibly valuable.

Thus, this 2% reduction was crucial.

Additionally, the advancement of Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu improved the clones' overall stability.

At LV8, his clones could already withstand some of the residual impact from enemy Ninjutsu.

Now, at LV9, the technique had undergone a qualitative transformation, significantly enhancing their resistance.

Furthermore, the clones could now endure minor physical damage to some extent.

Although they were still vulnerable to piercing attacks, minor surface wounds were no longer a concern. As long as the accumulated damage didn't reach a critical threshold, the clones wouldn't dissipate.

This improvement provided a strategic advantage, whether using the clones as decoys to mislead opponents or engaging in direct combat.

Beyond these enhancements, the upgrade also eliminated the risk of over-exertion when using Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu.

It had essentially become an instinctive ability, allowing Seimei to intuitively determine the optimal number of clones he could create without overtaxing himself.

Previously, he had to consciously monitor his chakra reserves while using the technique, but now, that mental burden was gone.

In other words, he had successfully mitigated the primary drawback that had earned Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu its designation as a Forbidden Technique.

Though this seemed like a minor detail, it was actually quite significant.

In critical moments, it could even be a lifesaver.

After all, not needing to worry about overexertion meant he could maintain full focus during battle.

And in combat, a single moment of distraction could be the difference between victory and defeat.

All these thoughts flashed through Seimei's mind, and he committed them to memory. As usual, he assigned specific training tasks to his clones before sending them off.

Then, he began considering how to allocate the 95,000 chakra points he previously dedicated to training Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu each day.

His gaze swept across his skill panel before settling on Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu.

Originally, its progress was nearly on par with Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu.

Now, after several days of practice, it was close to perfection, though not quite at the final stage.

Seimei decided to give it an extra push and grind it to completion.

Thus, the 95,000 chakra points he saved from maxing out Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu would now be entirely allocated to Shuriken Shadow Clone Jutsu.

Combined with the 105,000 chakra points he was already investing daily, that made a total of 200,000 chakra points.

With this level of commitment, his daily proficiency gain would jump from 700 to 1,330.

At this rate, in just over two days, he would reach LV9 (0/0) and master the technique completely.

However, before that happened, his Water Release: Great Exploding Water Shockwave would likely advance first.

Four days ago, when his Mental attribute increased due to his Sharingan evolution (40,000/50,000), his Water Release: Great Exploding Water Shockwave had already reached LV7 (16,350/20,000).

Now, after four days of training—one of which included an extra 63,000 chakra points—his proficiency had climbed to LV7 (19,700/20,000).

At this pace, it would advance by tonight at the latest.

However, since it was an A-rank Ninjutsu with a maximum level of LV9, he wouldn't be able to reallocate his chakra investment just yet.

Aside from these, other skills—such as Genjutsu: Darkness Technique and Nirvana Temple Jutsu—had also received additional chakra investment, but each would still take around a week to level up.

On the other hand, Earth Release: Earth Flow River would take only about five more days to reach LV7 (0/0), the limit of a B-rank Ninjutsu, due to its lower training difficulty.

As for Flying Thunder God Jutsu and Eight Trigrams Sealing Technique…

At his current pace, they were at least ten days to half a month away from any visible progress.

After reviewing his skill panel and getting a clear picture of his progress, Seimei wasted no time. He quickly refocused his mind and began alternating between Palm Sage Jutsu and Reflection Technique, strengthening his body while simultaneously improving his Sharingan evolution.

Thus, time continued to pass, second by second.

By the end of the day, as expected, in addition to Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu, his Water Release: Great Exploding Water Shockwave had also advanced.
