Trevor hovered above the ruined mountain range, rolling his shoulders as the space where he had stood moments earlier vanished into a sphere of annihilated matter.
He whistled softly.
"Yeah… she's definitely serious."
The air thickened.
Across from him, Lady Seraphina floated beneath the crimson moon, her black umbrella spinning slowly between her fingers. The blood rain swirling around her thickened like a living storm responding to her anger.
Her cracked alabaster face twisted into something far uglier than rage.
"You dare mock me…?"
Her voice was no longer sweet. It echoed like a blade dragged across bone.
Trevor exhaled slowly. Then he removed one hand from his pocket.
A single drop of crimson blood slid from his fingertip.
The moment it touched the air, the entire battlefield trembled.
Lady Seraphina's eyes narrowed.
"…Pure blood."
Trevor smiled faintly.
"Congratulations. You noticed."
Her lips peeled back into a snarl, revealing elongated crimson fangs.
