Chapter 31 - Chapter 31

After the morning jog, the rest of the training routine is basically the same, which continues daily. And just like that, two weeks passed, and coincidentally, today, Netero received an important call that required him to leave for a few days. Because of this, both were exempted from training for the time being.

"Uh, what should we do now?" Biscuit asked.

"Just for today, let's do our morning routine as usual, then we can rest." Ives suggested.

"Okay, not like there's anything else interesting we can do." Biscuit agreed.

A few hours passed, and it was now noon. The plan was to have only morning training, but Biscuit suddenly wanted to test her strength on Cubic Stone.

Honestly, their morning training wasn't that hard, or you could say their physical training wasn't challenging at all, except for Cubic Stone and sparring with Netero, of course.

It had been a few weeks since their first training, and the last time they tried, they could only push it a couple of inches. This time, they wanted to test their strength again.

"Okay, who wants to push it first?"

"Let me try it." Biscuit suggested and stepped forward.

"Sure." Ives agreed, but before the girl pushed that stone, he suddenly saw something interesting, "Wait, Biscuit."

"Yeah?"

"Don't you see it?"

"See what?" She wondered.

"This. Isn't this a carving? Can you read it?" He pointed to the strange carving on the stone. The carving was about a medium paragraph long. He wondered why they didn't see this carving when they first came here.

"Oh, you're right. Let me see." Biscuit squinted as she tried to read what was written on the stone, but after a moment, she gave up. "I can't read it at all. It's like random words." Biscuit shook her head. "Could this be written in a foreign language?"

Not getting an answer from her lover, Biscuit turned to him to find out what he was doing. She saw the man just standing there... Coming closer, she shook his shoulder, "Ives, are you okay?"

"Huh? Yeah, sorry."

"So, what's got you daydreaming? Don't tell me you're meditating again, but doing it while standing?" She had often seen this man meditate but not standing. Besides, who meditated while standing?

"Haha, no, no, I was just distracted by the writing. Yes, it's a foreign language, but somehow I can read it." Chuckling, he stepped forward and pointed just below the letters, then slid his finger as he read out what was written: [When stopped without any indication of getting push, returns to its original coordinates.]

"That's what it meant, but the actual writing structure is quite complicated." Deep inside, this writing reminded him of programming language, and what was written was indeed something they had witnessed several times. Could this be one of Netero's Nen abilities? A command type?

"Is that what it says? Strange, is this writing what gives the stone command to return to its original position?" Biscuit held her chin as she continued to look at those strange writings.

"And it's shaped like a Sigil," Ives commented.

"Yes, stunning patterns, isn't it? Maybe this is one of the old man's abilities. He has shown us some magical things; I wouldn't be surprised if he could do something like this."

"And by the way, when can we learn it? I can't wait to learn that magical ability!" Biscuit was fascinated by magical abilities and couldn't wait to learn it.

Netero had said that they would soon be able to enter the next stage, and she suspected that the next stage was closely related to the magical abilities that the old man had demonstrated.

"I'm sure it won't be long." Despite Netero's playful nature, he was serious about the training he was giving, even if it was a bit unorthodox. And speaking of Shingen-ryu style, the old man hadn't taught them a single move yet!

Perhaps he is waiting until their physical strength is sufficient? Maybe... Anyway, there was no point in thinking about it now; when the old man wanted to teach them, he would.

"Okay, forget about the writing. Now let's try pushing this." Biscuit was impatient to test her progress.

"I will give the signal."

"Okay." Biscuit gave a thumbs up.

"One, two, three!"

With all her strength, Biscuit pushed the stone, and...
