Chapter 24 - Chapter 24

Slash! Slash! Slash!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Countless slashes, punches, and kicks rang aloud from the arena. Neither Ives nor his opponent was willing to give up, and Ives was surprised that his opponent was much more agile than he had expected.

Of the many slashes, only a few connected. However, he relied not only on weapons but also on his feet and hands! This gave him a slight advantage over opponents who only relied on martial arts that focused on boxing style.

When the long-awaited moment came, he moved. Slash! Ding! The sound of a slash, followed by a hard object colliding, was heard.

Spurt!

Ives cut that bastard hand right through the middle of his knuckles. His sword went deep and almost reached his elbow! Pulling it back, his opponent's blood spurt into the arena floor.

"Ghh..." Sweating, he held his hand while holding back a groan of pain. But this pain alone wouldn't stop him!

Clenching his teeth, he charged forward at a faster speed. His uninjured hand was raised high, ready to hammer that kid!

A wounded opponent is more likely to make mistakes, and Ives was able to spot a big opening in him. Sweeping, he tripped his legs and made him fall.

When that Poisoned Hand hit the floor, he jumped and slammed his feet into his head, and Boom! A loud bang occurred as his face penetrated the arena floor several inches deep.

Convulsing for seconds, he finally stopped moving and passed out from the excruciating pain he was feeling.

"Match over!"

When his victory was announced, Ives immediately fell on his butt, panting. His clothes were soaked with sweat; besides exhaustion, he also felt dizzy.

Honestly, during the match, his eyes already saw a broken glass effect. No matter where he looked, the 'hallucination' could not disappear, and the longer he stood, the sharper that effect was, so the dizziness!

He was glad the match was over, but now he had a significant problem to deal with, which was poison. His arms and legs were covered in purple-black bruises; the question now was, how could he get rid of these? If he doesn't get treatment soon, this will be fatal, and he may end up dead.

Standing up, he walked out of the arena with wobbly steps and relied on his sword as a walking stick.

"Let me help you."

"You? Why- Thanks."

Seeing Botobai come to his aid, Ives thanked him sincerely.

Leaning him against the wall, Botobai began the examination. Skillfully, he performed a series of movements. Within fifteen minutes, almost all of the potentially life-threatening poison had been removed.

"You're also a poison expert?" He asked in a tone of surprise and admiration.

"Yes, taught in my dojo, too, if you are interested." Botobai nodded. Although he did not smile, he seemed happy when praised.

Curious, Ives tried to ask the question that had haunted him since he learned this man's name, "Old man, are you related to Gigante?"

"Hnn?! You know my son?" Botobai was shocked to hear his son's name mentioned.

"No, but I heard a child shouting his name before. Knowing your surname, I thought you were related to him." Yes, he was lying, but he did know who Gigante was.

"That boy..." Botobai shakes his head.
