Chapter 11 - The damned monster

Everyone instinctively froze, even Julius stopped rowing. They faced only one question: how would they get out of this predicament?

Ali spoke cautiously, "Well, everyone, just as we've overcome so many difficulties, this isn't a big deal." His attempt to raise morale was futile; everyone was desperate. But luckily, 016 spoke up.

016: "Gentlemen, I think you've forgotten something. This monster isn't fully grown yet. Its heart is only a meter from its skin, and it looks like it was only born a few months ago. Its skin will naturally be thin. As for Mr. Julius, I think his hand strength is like a small cannon. He hasn't even revealed some of his talents to us yet. That means our chances of survival if we face him are ten percent."

Julius smiled despite his intense nervousness. "Heh, you're insulting me. I'll show you that my hand throw is on another level entirely." Ali then spoke up, "Thank you, 016. Now, I'll repeat myself." "Are we prey or predators?"

The words struck the listeners like a thunderbolt, and after regaining their composure, they cried out, "We are the predators!"

Once their enthusiasm returned, they realized that saying it was easier than doing it, but this time they were determined to survive. Ali said, "Listen, I was thinking that since he hasn't attacked us, it's best not to attack either. But I think delaying the matter will only make things worse. He might attack us while we're preoccupied with another problem, or he might finish analyzing us from afar and, realizing we're just an ordinary boat posing no threat, attack. I say it's best to ambush him, surprise him, and then destroy him." Noor spoke hesitantly, "But if it's a newborn, won't its mother be with it?" Her words made sense.

Then, risking a fight with him might bring in other people. "I agree with Mr. Ali's opinion, especially since he might surprise us with a more difficult situation. This is the best decision," Luna said, leading everyone to choose to confront the monster now.

Ali says, "Since this monster is a shark and is still young, I have a plan. It consists of three stages: luring, distraction, and the final blow. Now, I need someone to give me any ideas on how to implement these stages."

Nour speaks up. "I have a way to distract the monster, and that's by disrupting its brain signals." Ali: "Good."

016: "As for me, I can play the role of bait to lure it in." Ali: "And now there's the final part." Ali turns to Julius suggestively. Julius: "Well, my role seems clear. I'm the one who will finish it off. But the question is, we don't have any weapons? Because I literally can't finish it off with my bare hands." Ali: "Don't worry, it's in my hands. I have this magic wand. Now, 016, reshape its edge to make it sharp."

016: "Yes, sir." 016 begins to carve it using a tool that was in Ali's bag, resembling a nail clipper but made of iron. While 016 works, he continues to explain the plan. "First, We must keep Zigra away from the boat completely, because one scratch on the boat and we're finished. So, we must lure him to a remote area with many obstacles so he can't swim freely. This is where you come in, 016. You must work to keep the monster away as far as possible without taking any damage, or it's over. While you're keeping the monster away, we need to find a place for you, Julius, to establish a good foothold so that a clash with Zigra at the crucial moment won't destroy your position. After that, 016, you will carefully return to the location for executing the plan, the precise coordinates of which I will send you.

Then he turned to Noor. "The second part is up to you. First, I need to understand the extent of your ability's effectiveness." Noor swallowed nervously and said, "Well, assuming the monster's intelligence is no more than that of a ten-year-old, I can invade his mind from twenty meters away and see what he sees and feels. Then, another skill I've been developing will come into play, which is..." Forcing his mind to see illusions and things contrary to reality, and I can control him according to my will. I can completely hide his pain so he doesn't discover what's happening to his body. But the drawback of this skill is that it exhausts me to the point where I can't use any ability for a whole day and become almost incapacitated. What's more, I can't maintain it for more than half a minute. That's pretty much it."

Ali: "Okay, that's enough. I want you to confuse him by manipulating his electromagnetic waves, because all sharks have this skill. Make him believe he's surrounded by many things or obstacles, and the only way forward is where Julius is standing. But try by any means to protect Julius from him if he regains consciousness." Noor nodded in agreement.

Then Ali turned to Julius. "And now it's your turn, brother. Listen, I want you to follow the instructions precisely. Try to locate the heart. Shark hearts are usually located inside the body of every shark, and it's no different for the Zegra monster, in the chest area near the The gills, where its heart is located in the middle.

And don't worry, its heart is huge, so even if you make a small mistake, the chance of hitting it is high. Now, I just want you to sharpen your senses and get ready.

Julius: "Who do you think I am, brother? Don't worry, I'm up to it."

Luna shouted from afar, "Guys, look!" Luna spotted one of the monster's fins, and it seemed unconcerned whether we saw it or not. It looked ready to pounce, and we had to quickly begin the plan.

Ali: "Alright, guys, it's either success or... success. There's no other option. Go, 016!"

016: "Yes, sir." The robot sped off and dove into the water, alerting the creature that its electromagnetic field had become disturbed. After 016 got close enough, until it was directly in front of it, it was only half a meter away from its gigantic face. 016: "Wow, you really do have a gigantic face, buddy." Ali Nervous and anxious, "016, now is not the time for jokes."

016: "Yes, sir." The creature was studying 016's structure because it seemed to him to be a new form of being. It was moving, but

He felt no life in it, but this contemplation was interrupted when something began to emanate from 016. Suddenly, it emitted an extremely powerful light, approximately 10,000 cd, which caused the creature to growl and become angry after being blinded for an instant. But as soon as it began to regain its sight, 016 emitted a red light from behind its structure, which disturbed the monster and began the chase. The monster was literally a miracle swimming in the water. It was incredibly fast, and 016 was accelerating at full speed. The moment the robot emitted the light, it served as the signal for its team to begin work. Julius jumped directly into the water, not caring about the monster. He was on the back of three metal-clad carbon fiber poles. He jumped into the water and swam as fast as he could, finally reaching his destination. It was one of the store signs, he thought, and as soon as he stood on it and found it stable, he began jumping to make sure he was safe. So far, things were going according to plan. Once Julius was sure, he turned around, shouting, "Ali, I'm ready," Ali replied, waving his hand to indicate he understood. But 016 had only gone 80 meters when he sent a warning message. He shouted through the clock, "What a mess, Mr. Ali! It seems the monster has figured out I'm trying to lure him out. He's not chasing me now; he's heading for you. I'll follow him and let you know how close he is."

[A wave came from the side, a result of the monster's size and speed. It seemed to be enraged and was heading straight for the boat... 72 meters.]

"Oh no! I see him coming!" Luna cried.

"What?!" Ali exclaimed. He turned hysterically to Noor.

"Noor, get ready! There's no time. Please, we're counting on you." Noor swallowed hard. "Okay," she said, extending her hands forward, forming a triangle with her fingers. Then, she opened her eyes defiantly, sending out a wave so powerful it sent a blast through the air. Luna and Ali were both taken aback. Although mental abilities were supposed to be invisible, the power of this particular mental attack was on another level entirely.

[Beep beep, 40 meters]

Ali: "Hurry, Noor, he's getting closer!"

Noor: "Ugh, I'm doing all I can, but he's far away!"

[Beep beep, 30 meters]

She cried out desperately, "Just a little longer!"

[Beep beep, 20 meters]

The monster stopped abruptly, and the wave of water it created continued to advance a few meters. In this atmosphere, Luna breathed a sigh of relief. "Phew, we did it!" Ali interrupted her. "Not yet." Noor was bleeding from her nose as she struggled. Then he began to steer the monster toward her brother. He was already exhausted when the mental connection was established, so they might only have ten seconds left to execute the plan.

But as the monster slowly approached Julius, he took a deep breath, and the scene was unforgettable. Julius's veins began to swell slightly, then started to glow red. It was a strange sight. The steam from his perspiration began to swirl around him in a bizarre display, but there was one thing for sure, and Ali saw that Julius had unleashed one hundred percent of his power at that moment, but unexpectedly, he felt something fall into the water. It was Noor! Had he fainted? He rushed to save her, but then he remembered what about Julius. The monster was right there with him. The monster leaped out of the water, freed from Noor's grasp, its mouth just a stone's throw from Julius.

"Julius, watch out..." Ali screamed, his voice trailing off in unexpected shock.
