Chapter 32 - THE AWAKENING COUNCIL

The great hall of the Crimson Dusk Pack had never been so silent.

Warriors lined the walls, their heads lowered as Ivy rested on a long wooden couch near the fireplace. Her breathing had steadied, but faint streaks of violet light still danced beneath her skin like living lightning.

Jayden refused to leave her side.

Jake stood across the room, his fists clenched so tightly his knuckles had turned white.

No one spoke.

Finally, the heavy doors opened.

An elderly woman entered, leaning on a carved ashwood staff. Her silver hair reached her waist, and pale blue eyes carried centuries of wisdom.

Every wolf in the room bowed.

"Elder Mira," Jayden said respectfully.

She nodded before stopping beside Ivy.

"So..." she whispered. "The last child of Silverlight has awakened."

Jake's head snapped up.

"You know who she is?"

"I knew before you were born."

The room fell silent again.

Mira gently lifted Ivy's broken medallion from the floor.

"This seal was forged by six Alpha bloodlines after the Great Elemental War."

She traced a finger across its cracked surface.

"It wasn't made to hide power."

"It was made to imprison it."

Jayden frowned.

"Imprison?"

Mira nodded.

"The power inside Ivy isn't ordinary magic."

"It is older than wolves."

"Older than vampires."

"Older than kingdoms."

She looked directly at Ivy.

"It remembers the beginning of the world."

A chill spread through the room.

Hours later...

Ivy finally opened her eyes.

Everything felt brighter.

She could hear conversations happening outside the mansion.

She could hear birds miles away.

She could even hear Jayden's heartbeat.

"What... happened?"

Jayden smiled with relief.

"You scared us."

She tried to sit up.

"I heard someone calling me Alpha."

Jake exchanged a worried glance with Elder Mira.

"You weren't imagining it."

Ivy looked between them.

"What aren't you telling me?"

Jake sighed.

"Our family..."

"...wasn't just another Alpha family."

Mira walked toward an ancient tapestry hanging on the wall.

It showed four figures standing beneath a glowing moon.

One commanded fire.

One commanded water.

One commanded earth.

One commanded wind.

At the center stood a fifth figure surrounded by all four elements.

"Long ago," Mira began, "the Elemental Guardian protected the balance between every supernatural race."

"But that bloodline disappeared."

Jake looked at Ivy.

"We thought it ended..."

"...until you were born."

Silence.

Ivy shook her head.

"No."

"No, that's impossible."

"I'm just me."

"You've got the wrong person."

Mira smiled sadly.

"Every Guardian has said those exact words."

Suddenly—

BOOM!

The windows exploded inward.

Warriors drew their weapons instantly.

Smoke poured into the hall.

A deep voice echoed through the chaos.

"So..."

"I finally found you."

A man stepped through the dust wearing a long black coat.

His silver hair shimmered in the firelight.

Behind him stood a dozen masked warriors.

Jayden's wolf erupted with a growl.

Jake's eyes turned silver.

Malachar smiled.

"Ivora."

The room seemed to freeze.

"I've waited twelve years."

Jayden stepped in front of Ivy.

"You'll have to go through me."

Malachar chuckled.

"I expected nothing less."

He lifted one hand.

Dark energy spiraled around his fingers.

"I didn't come to kill her."

His crimson eyes locked onto Ivy.

"I came..."

"...to take back what belongs to me."

The temperature in the room plummeted.

Jayden, Jake, and every warrior prepared for battle.

Behind them, Ivy slowly stood.

Her violet eyes glowed brighter than ever.

The air trembled.

Outside, thunder rolled across the mountains.

The first battle of the awakening has begun
