Back to the Wutan City, Shen family courtyard,
Shen Yi glanced at his parents' dazed expression, a smile appeared on his face, and he spoke.
"Father, Mother, what are you looking at?"
Shen Han returned to his senses and then took a deep breath and asked, "I don't know what to say, but can you tell me how you became a grandmaster so suddenly?"
Shen Yue also nodded with a solemn expression, staring at him; she also wanted to know the reason.
Shen Yi calmly looked at his parents' expression; he wasn't surprised, as he already anticipated such a reaction from his parents.
His expression became thoughtful, and he replied, "My master wanted me to hide it until I reach the Dou Emperor realm, but you are my parents, so I will tell you: I have a special lightning physique. That's why my practice speed is extremely fast."
Instantly his parents were startled and exclaimed in surprise, glanced at each other, and then looked at Shen Yi.
"Lightning Physique? Dou emperor? Also, when did you have a master?"
Shen Yi gave them a calm nod in return and then spoke, "My master said that I should keep it a secret, so don't tell anyone if they want to know the secret behind my talent."
Shen Han nodded and said, "Don't worry, you are our son; we won't do anything detrimental to your future."
Shen Yue also nodded acknowledgingly, and then Shen Han added, "Can I meet your master? I want to thank him personally."
Shen Yi shook his head and replied, "My master doesn't want to meet anyone, so please forget it for a while."
Shen Han fell silent and then nodded with a sigh.
"I am going to return to my room."
Shen Yi said and then stood up and walked inside his room, while his parents glanced at his back with satisfied and proud expressions on their faces, then they smiled looking at each other.
"Yue'er, it seems our son has grown up earlier than we expected, and he is now protecting us and our Shen family legacy."
Shen Han spoke and patted her hand with a sigh; Shen Yue nodded silently with tears condensing in her eyes.
At this moment, a servant appeared and informed them that guests from the Xiao family had arrived.
Shen Han and his wife were startled and hurriedly stood up and walked toward the gate.
Looking at the Xiao Zhan standing with the Xiao clan elder and a young boy and girl,
"Brother Xiao, welcome to my Shen house; please come inside."
Shen Han hurriedly invited them inside the house with a smile.
"Hahaha, Brother Han, Sister-in-law, how are you?"
Xiao Zhan laughed and greeted both Shen Han and his wife, then he walked inside while gesturing toward the boy and girl beside him, introducing them.
"This is my youngest son, Xiao Yan, and this is my niece, Xiao Xun'er."
"Hello, Uncle Shen," both Xiao Yan and Xun'er greeted him calmly.
Shen Han nodded with a smile, looking at Xiao Yan and Xun'er, and praised, "The Xiao clan has talented young people."
"Brother Xiao is joking; the whole empire knows the Shen family has a protégé."
Xiao Zhan replied while shaking his head enviously. Shen Han smiled and didn't refute him, while pride flickered through his eyes.
'Father, don't envy others. Your son's talent is no less than others… One day I will reach the pinnacle of this world, as I have something that other geniuses don't.'
Xiao Yan thought to himself after seeing his father's envious expression,
'Talent can't determine the future… Countless geniuses fall before reaching the pinnacles. Uncle Zhan is envious of nothing.'
Xiao Xun'er's thoughts also ran wild with a flickering gaze after noticing Xiao Zhan's expression.
Soon they appeared inside the guest room and sat down on the couches, while Shen Yue went to prepare the tea.
"Brother Xiao Zhan, how is the medicine business of the Xiao clan?"
Shen Han asked thoughtfully, looking at him. Xiao Zhan nodded and replied,
"It's better, Brother Shen; it's just because of Jia Lei and the Ao Ba Clan's schemes; the market share shrank less than one-third."
Shen Han nodded and added as his brow furrowed,
"You are right, Brother Han. I heard they started imitating our culinary business; they opened the restaurant branch in their market, offering similar dishes with a little lower prices, and shamelessly poached our own workers for their own business."
Xiao Zhan laughed, shook his head, and spoke.
"Brother Han, I heard an announcement from both clans a while ago; they are going to hand over those restaurants to you."
Shen Han was startled and asked, "Why are they doing this?" Then he realized something and fell silent.
Xiao Zhan nodded, looking at his silent expression, and replied, "As you guessed, it's your son."
Then he added, "Also, Brother Han, I am here to discuss the restaurant business expansion."
Xiao Yan and Xiao Xun'er glanced at both of them conversing boringly; at this moment footsteps sounded, and Shen Yi walked inside the guest hall.
Shen Han glanced at him and gestured toward the guest. "Yi'er, come here. This is your uncle Xiao Zhan from the Xiao clan, and his son Xiao Yan and niece."
Shen Yi nodded toward Xiao Yan and Xun'er and then glanced at Xiao Zhan and greeted him with a smile, "Nice to meet you, Uncle Xiao."
"Haha, nephew Yi, you are polite." Xiao Zhan laughed and replied, but a little restraint flashed through his eyes.
Shen Yi smiled, ignoring his restraining expression, and then he glanced at his father and spoke, "Father, I forgot to inform you, the Mo clan has been dealt with by me. Now we can migrate back to Yan City."
Shen Han was surprised and asked excitedly, "Really?"
Shen Yi nodded and replied calmly, "Yes, I suggest we should migrate soon; our family property is in the Yan city."
