"Master, we're here to help!"

Seeing George and the Black Dragon locked in a fierce aerial battle, Natsu's blood boiled once more. He vaulted straight onto his dad, the Fire Dragon King, and charged skyward.

Erza, Laxus, and the others refused to lag behind.

"We are Fairy Tail!"

No matter how powerful the enemy, Fairy Tail's mages never give up. Shouting of friendship, bonds, and justice, they surged forward.

"You're courting death!"

Acnologia, the Black Dragon, had been pummeled like a whack-a-mole by George, unable to land a single sneak attack. Stifled and enraged, he saw these little bugs like Natsu daring to provoke him and immediately wheeled about, shifting his sights to Natsu and the others.

"I can't beat him—but you insects? I'll tear you apart!"

He knew in his heart he absolutely could not defeat this bizarre dragon-slaying mage of a cat today.

So he'd slaughter these small-fry Dragon Slayers and the Fire Dragon King, then withdraw—return for a final duel after he found a solution.

"Looks like the game should end here."

Watching the Black Dragon bear down on Natsu and company, George stopped holding back. He was ready to go all out.

So far, both sides could nullify magic. Physically, once he took dragon form, he was stronger than the Black Dragon, but not enough to crush him outright.

If the Black Dragon chose to flee, keeping him here would be difficult.

Of course, that was only if he fought with sheer physical strength.

Because beyond his individual might, he also possessed a personal small world—already perfected to about eighty percent.

That was his true trump card.

A peak "Heaven-Father–tier" individual versus a peak "Heaven-Father–tier" who owned a small world; a single-universe class being versus one who commanded an entire personal universe—

The gap was immense.

"Get in here."

George flicked his hand. A vast black rift yawned open, rapidly expanding to swallow the entire town, along with the Black Dragon above it—and Natsu and the others as well.

In the same instant, George vanished from where he stood and stepped into his own small world.

"In this world, there's no flying."

Inside the small world, his lips parted—and the world's laws shifted at once. The Black Dragon, who'd been lunging at Natsu, suddenly lost the ability to fly and smashed into the town below.

"Where is this? What happened?"

He lifted his head from the ruined streets, tried to beat his wings—but no matter how he struggled, he couldn't take to the air.

He turned, scanning the surroundings. Everything lay open and unbounded, as if he were suspended in an infinite cosmos.

"Impossible. No magic can affect the Dragon King. What is this?!"

He assumed George had used some spatial spell to relocate them and suppress his flight.

But his devouring magic could consume any spell placed upon him and render it void. He shouldn't be affected.

So, he hesitated. For the first time, he felt lost.

"Because you're in my world—and what I'm using isn't 'magic,' but the fundamental power of world-law."

George didn't bother explaining this aloud. With that thought in mind, he descended like a meteor and began a brutal beating.

Stripped of flight, the Black Dragon could only crawl, his movement speed drastically reduced. He could no longer shake George off.

Devouring magic was formidable—but only under the laws of the Fairy Tail world could it be perfectly executed.

This was not the Fairy Tail world. This was George's world.

Though not yet fully complete, it was enough. He used the origin-laws he had woven to suppress the Black Dragon's devouring magic—

—and to impose all manner of restrictions upon him.

"Avada Kedavra!"

"Tri-Color Dragon's Roar!"

"Fairy Law!"

"Lullaby of Slumber!"

"Hundred-Billion Volts!"

"Blade Arts with Magnetic Control!"

Under the pressure of this world's laws, the Black Dragon's devouring magic could no longer function flawlessly, and George's spells took effect again.

Even at only one percent of their usual power, combined with his physical suppression, they left the Black Dragon in misery.

Worse still, George had prepared in advance: a set of twelve Dragon-Slashing flying blades, forged through his artifact-crafting arts and waiting here in his small world.

With his mutant abilities greatly enhanced now, he drove the twelve blades by magnetism. Paired with the treasure's innate power—

Even the Black Dragon's iron hide couldn't withstand them. In no time, he was covered in wounds.

"The finishing blow!"

Pinning the Black Dragon's body so he couldn't move, George fused the twelve Dragon-Slashing blades into one. Magnetism surged to its peak. Like a streak of light, the united blade bored straight through Acnologia's skull and felled him on the spot.

"Six-Vault Immortal Thief!"

The instant the Black Dragon died, George, bolstered by the world's laws, unleashed the Six-Vault Immortal Thief and began devouring everything that was the Black Dragon.

When Acnologia was fully shrouded in qi and finally disassembled into essence that poured into George's body, George returned to cat form, gathered the dumbstruck Natsu and others, and brought them back to the outside world.

"Restore to the first state."

With a grand Restoration spell, the town that had become a ruin was returned to its original condition. George turned to the still-stunned Natsu and the rest and said:

"I need to go into seclusion for a while. The guild matters will have to trouble the old master again."

Without waiting for their reply, he vanished on the spot.

He had absorbed the Black Dragon into himself with the Six-Vault Immortal Thief—but fully digesting it would take time.

Perfect: a chance to hand the guild openly back to the old master.

A month later, George opened his eyes within his small world, satisfaction on his face.

He had fully devoured the Black Dragon's body, further boosting his physical power—he could now directly assume a Black Dragon form.

He had also consumed the Black Dragon's soul using Spirit-Command and Dispatch, thereby acquiring Acnologia's unique devouring magic.

With the devouring magic assisting him, his rate of absorbing the powers of Chaos and the Phoenix in the main Marvel world had doubled.

"Right—these gifts haven't been delivered to Mirajane yet."

He raised a hand and produced a card sealed with the Nine Demons, then returned to the outside world.

It was deep night. He had no intention of waiting for dawn. In a blink, he teleported into Mirajane's bedroom in the guild's castle.

"Who's there!"

Jolted awake by a surge of potent magic, Mirajane reflexively cast Take Over and transformed into her Satan Soul.

The next second, she was pressed back onto the bed.

"It's me," George said with a smile as he shifted into human form.

Seeing it was George, Mirajane exhaled in relief and moved to release her Satan form.

But George flipped back the covers with a snap.

"Don't change back. What I want is Satan."

"You said it—don't regret it."

In Satan Soul, Mirajane was the very picture of a domineering she-devil—so different from her usual gentle self, and far more assertive.

Her tail hooked around George as she rolled and pinned him beneath her.

"I like being on top."
