"George, what do you mean you're the Sixth Guild Master?"
After the disappearance of the First Master, Makarov patted the dust off himself and stood up, questioning George.
He was the Third Guild Master. Logically, after George took over, he should have been the Fourth. So why is he calling himself the Sixth?
George smiled and explained,
"Well, that's a story that starts with the Grand Magic Games."
He quickly summarized the events surrounding the tournament.
He was technically the Fourth, but then passed the title to Macao, who later returned it to him, making him the Sixth Guild Master.
"Damn it, I actually missed such a major tournament. I'm so frustrated!"
On the side, Natsu had overheard that guilds from all over the country had participated in the Grand Magic Games. So many powerful wizards competed—and he missed it all, unable to represent Fairy Tail. As he fumed with frustration, he spewed flames all around him.
George chuckled,
"Don't worry, Natsu. The Grand Magic Games are held annually. You can join next year."
"George, we really owe you for this past year!"
Makarov was full of emotion as he spoke.
He couldn't imagine what would've happened to the guild if George hadn't been there while they were sealed away for seven years. Who knows how far Fairy Tail would have declined?
Meanwhile, Erza reached out to hug George in gratitude, intending to pull him into her armored embrace, but George, now vastly stronger than before, swiftly dodged.
Though his physical strength could handle her armored grip, he had no desire to experience it again—unless, of course, she wasn't wearing armor.
For instance, when Mirajane hugged him with her soft embrace, George didn't avoid it at all.
"Right, it's about time—we can't delay any longer or we'll miss Alzack and Bisca's wedding."
Breaking free from Mirajane's arms, George extended his tail, instructing everyone to hold on as he prepared to use Phantom Shift.
The others were stunned.
"What? Alzack and Bisca are getting married?!"
In a flash, everyone disappeared from Sirius Island.
After they vanished, the First Guild Master, Mavis, reappeared, murmuring to herself,
"Staying on Sirius Island all the time is so boring. I might as well go watch a wedding!"
With another flash, she too vanished from the island.
Magnolia City, Kardia Cathedral—the very place where Laxus once triggered the Fairy Tail civil war—had now been transformed into a wedding hall.
At the altar, Marcus, who loved acting as an emcee, was temporarily playing the role of priest. In front of him stood Alzack and Bisca, lovingly dressed in wedding attire.
Seated below were the Fairy Tail wizards—some veterans like Macao and Laki who had stayed behind, and newer members like Minerva, Sting, and Rogue, who joined after the Grand Magic Games.
"Has the Guild Master arrived yet?"
Macao asked Wakaba beside him.
To their surprise, the Guild Master, who had been in seclusion researching the Lumen Histoire, had chosen today to come out. Just yesterday, Alzack and Bisca had been disappointed that he might not attend their wedding.
"No, he said he'd make it before the ceremony began. Something important must've come up."
"Do you really need to guess? Why do you think he went into seclusion in the first place? And now he's out again at this exact moment? Can't you figure it out?"
Minerva, wearing a qipao and covering half her face with a fan, laughed softly.
"You mean—?"
Macao and Wakaba were stunned, then their faces lit up with excitement.
Just then, the doors to the grand hall burst open, and Natsu's familiar voice echoed through the church.
"Hahaha! Alzack! Bisca! How could you have your wedding without us?!"
"We're back!"
The whole group shouted in unison, bringing tears to Alzack, Bisca, and many of the old Fairy Tail members.
The newer members watched Natsu and the others with curiosity—these were the mages who had made a name for themselves across the continent a year ago, the original main force of Fairy Tail.
After a round of hugs and chatter, the wedding resumed as normal.
"Exchange the rings!"
"Guild Master's speech!"
"Groom, kiss the bride!"
The ceremony reached its climax, but among the attendees was a rather unexpected figure.
"Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!"
Mavis, the First Master, stood on a chair in the front row, raising her hands and joining in the chant. Makarov, seated beside her, was completely dumbfounded.
In contrast, George—who had already noticed Mavis—simply licked his paw and smiled.
He didn't think it was a bad thing. After all, the First Guild Master was the creator of the Fairy Tail Three Great Fairy Magics and one of the most powerful mages ever. If he could interact with her, his own magical abilities would surely reach new heights.
With the ceremony complete, the celebration began in full swing. Everyone drank, feasted, and shared stories from the past year, getting to know the new members.
By evening, things had quieted down. George gathered all the core members of the guild—including the ever-curious First Master.
"Thanks to Mavis' protection, we all survived the Black Dragon's attack. But that won't work forever.
The dragon's name is Acnologia."
George revealed all he knew—about the Black Dragon, the Eclipse Gate, and how Natsu and the others came from over 400 years ago.
"So if we don't find a way to defeat Acnologia, the world will eventually be destroyed."
Now that he had control of the Lumen Histoire, his next goal was clear—destroy the Black Dragon and uncover more powerful, valuable forms of magic.
Acnologia was not an easy opponent. To be safe, George felt it was necessary to share everything with the guild—whether it meant opening the Eclipse Gate or summoning the dragons inside Natsu and Gajeel for help.
This wasn't something he should carry alone.
It was also a good opportunity to consult with Mavis and perhaps gain more useful intel.
"George, are you serious? Igneel's been inside me this whole time?"
Natsu was in complete disbelief.
All these years he'd searched for his foster father Igneel, yet he had been inside his body the entire time?
"Not just you," George explained. "Gajeel and Wendy too—their dragons are likely within them as well.
They've stayed hidden to help suppress your powers and prevent you from turning fully into dragons. Also, it was a way to avoid being detected by Acnologia."
"If you want to see them, I know a way to make that happen."
What George had seen in Sting and Rogue's memories hadn't fully resolved his doubts. If he wanted to know what really happened all those years ago, he would need to find Anna—the one who brought Natsu and the others to the present—and uncover the truth from the three dragons hiding inside them.
