Chapter 25 - Chapter 25 Uchiha birthday

Although the Hyuga clan wanted to ask for an explanation regarding Hyuga Yufumi, they were forcefully pushed back by the Uchiha clan, and the Uchiha were not affected in the slightest.

It had only been nine months since the goal was set on the giant rock, but Uchiha Hui had now reached his sixth birthday. As the current genius of the Uchiha clan, having defeated Hayate Gekkou, who had mastered the Shadow Clone Technique at the age of five, Uchiha Hui's skills were well-known. The Mizuki incident also revealed to the Uchiha family that Uchiha Hui had mastered the Shadow Clone Technique, so...

Uchiha Hui considered his home in this world to be quite large — a mansion, even. But today, the spacious living room, capable of accommodating dozens of people standing, was still almost full of gifts.

He smiled bitterly, looked at the living room that no longer had a clear path to the door, and said, "I hope that so many things won't just end up being thrown away as garbage — at least there should be some meaningful gifts."

Today was his son's birthday, and Uchiha Hikaru had cleared his schedule a month in advance to stay home and spend time with his son. Despite the ongoing war situation, he ensured he wouldn't receive any urgent missions for the day.

For the occasion, Uchiha Hikaru had even dyed his secondary hair completely black, making him look much younger than when his hair had streaks of white.

"Huh," Uchiha Hikaru chuckled as he watched his son's reaction. Folding his arms across his chest, he asked, "Hui, do you need me to help you clear some of these gifts?"

Uchiha Hui wasn't truly a six-year-old child, so he didn't feel the need to open every birthday gift personally. He smiled and said, "Then please, Father."

Although many gifts were trivial — like the hardcover version of the Ninja Quest Code — there were still practical items, such as the "Ninja Set" from relatives, which included various ninja tools and six packs of explosive tags.

"Huh?" Uchiha Hui paused after unwrapping a certain package.

Uchiha Hikaru noticed the item in his son's hands, raised his eyebrows, and said with mild surprise, "I didn't expect the patriarch would actually send you a gift, Hui."

The gift from Uchiha Fugaku was a pure ink jade — completely black and colorless. It was a valuable jade that symbolized status, but generally had little use for shinobi.

After observing his Sharingan for some time, Uchiha Hui had noticed that the tomoe in his eyes were somewhat unusual — appearing darker than the typical black tomoe of other Uchiha, almost as though they were deeper than black itself.

To test this, he'd looked in a mirror while wearing sunglasses and discovered that if he looked closely under light, he could barely see his ink-black tomoe through the lenses.

It wasn't a major issue, but since his father had advised him to conceal this trait as much as possible, Uchiha Hui had a luxurious idea in mind.

Seeing his son pause, Uchiha Hikaru assumed he was just overwhelmed. While unboxing a pair of ninja shoes from another gift box, he chuckled and urged, "Hui, don't space out. Are you planning to keep unpacking these gifts after lunch?"

Uchiha Hui snapped out of his thoughts and resumed sorting the mountain of gifts alongside his father.

That afternoon, Uchiha Hui visited a jewelry store that specialized in jade polishing.

When the shopkeeper noticed the Uchiha clan emblem on Hui's attire, his eyes lit up. Rubbing his palms together eagerly, he asked, "This young master of the Uchiha clan — what can I do for you?"

Uchiha Hui retrieved the ink jade from his pocket, and the shopkeeper's gaze was instantly fixed on it. Years of experience told him this jade alone could be worth a fortune.

Uchiha Hui casually placed the ink jade on the counter and instructed, "Polish this ink jade into various types of lenses — thin enough to barely allow light through."

Although jade isn't naturally transparent, it could still transmit some light if thinned enough. Even if visibility would be poor, it wouldn't matter — with his Sharingan activated, Uchiha Hui wouldn't have any trouble seeing clearly. He also rarely wore sunglasses unless absolutely necessary.

The shopkeeper's eyes widened in disbelief. "Polish this beautiful jade... into lenses?!" His reaction was as if someone had told him to shatter a priceless treasure.

Uchiha Hui remained unfazed. "Can it be done?" he asked calmly.

The shopkeeper looked at the jade with visible distress but ultimately nodded.

A week later, Uchiha Hui collected his newly polished lenses.

From that day on, Uchiha Hui's sunglasses were fitted with ink jade lenses.
