Chapter 22
The whole classroom just kept quiet while crimmson look at Hiro, out of knowere you could hear nikko in the background shouting: "HOLY SHIT!!!!".
later at lunch the guys grabbed a table and enjoyed there lunch, crimmson and Scarlett also joined in, everyone was eating in an awkward silence when Cassie decided to talk.
"So how are you liking the school so far?".
Scarlett swallowed her food and replied: "it's ok i guess, at first we thought that we wouldn't find anyone that would talk to us".
Lily was moving her cup of tea around and said: "yeah we felt like that when we started here, we thought that we wouldn't fit in but eventually everyone was nice to us".
"Also you don't have to worry, we will help you get through this school year with no problem".
"Yeahweevenknowallofthegoodplacestoeat". Niko said with her mouth full of food.
"Niko we couldn't understand anything can you swallow your food like a normal person would!!!" Akari said pulling Niko's ponytail.
She swallowed her food: "I said that we also know a few good places to eat too."
Scarlett smiled: "thanks all of you…by the way we didn't get your names after that awkward moment in class".
"You're right, my name is cassie, this is my brother kyle…" he smiled, "this is momo", she giggled, "that's akari, lily and thats niko",she tilted her chair and said"sup". "Oh and this is…."
Niko interrupted Casey and said, "this is our single yet not good looking brother Hiro", she pat him on his back.
Hiro almost choked on his food: "come on niko give me a break".
Crimmson had her eyes closed and continued eating but she whispered: "…Hiro…"
" yes thats my name" he looked at crimmson and began to whisper in his head,"she looks just like the girl that save me this morning…i wonder if there's a connection..."
"Quit staring at her like that you're gonna freak her out!!!" Niko said slapping him on the back of his head.
"Owwww, i wasn't staring at her like that!!".
"I don't mind…", crimmson put her fork down, she opened her eyes and turned to face Hiro: "can i ask you something?"
"Sure, what is it".
"Is it ok if we could talk after class?"
"Oh, sure we could go to the park and talk if you want."
Crimmson smiled and whispered: "that sounds perfect.."
"But we were supposed to get pizza after school". Said niko disappointed.
Lily bump nikko in the head with her fist, "can you do anything else besides eating niko!!! She rubbed her head then glared at lily.
"Don't mind them they're always like this, so after class will go to the park and talk".
Crimmson got up and said: "ok I'll be there".
At that moment chiaki entered the cafeteria with her friends, she noticed akari and smirked, she and her friends walk to them
"Oh look, if it isn't Akari with the loser squad". Chiaki said having a playful grin on her face.
Niko got annoyed and whispered: "oh no…not this bitch again…"
Akari took a deep breath and got up and stood a few fet away, she put one hand on her hip and said: "i don't have time for this so what do you want chiaki…"
"Oh nothing, i just came here to remind EVERYONE!!!! That the volleyball tournament is in 3 weeks, also to tell you that no one has a chance against my team.."
"Like i care about some stupid volleyball tornament, i got better things to do…"
Chiaki smirk and walk closer: "what's the matter candy cotton hair…scared?".
Everyone gasp.
"Oh this is about to get good" said niko.
Akari walk closer to chiaki and replied back to her: "of course i am…I'm afraid of hurting that pretty little face you got with the ball, i mean is the only good thing you got..."
"Oh this definitely got intense now hehehe" Niko whispered waiting for them to fight.
"Well if you feel so confident about it why donyou and your sisters try it.."
Akari look at them "them…they don't…i mean…
Momo grasp her fist and shouted: "come on Akari we got your back, we can take them!!".
Akari smiled and turned to face chiaki and said: "fine will play…"
"Then it's settled in 3 weeks… be there.."
"Oh will be there alright…oh and one more thing don't cry when the elite squad wins the game ok." Said niko arms crossed.
Kiyomi stepped forward and replied to niko: "oh please if it was a food eating contest maybe you would have a chance, hehehe"
Niko didn't find her comment funny and grasp her fist saying: "you better watch what you're saying or else…"
"Or what…you're gonna glare at me until i die of boredom…"
"No…i was just giving your brain enough time to catch up…"
"That's funny, i was just looking at a wet floor sign and it's missing something…oh that's right it's your face!!!"
"Better than looking like the final boss from a bad fashion choice!!!"
"Oh please, you walk around like if you were the main character, but even the background extras ignore you…"
"That's rich coming from someone who looks like a rejected video game NPC!!!"
"And you look like the tutorial boss everyone skips!!!!"
"Better than looking like a side quest nobody accepts!!!".
The whole cafeteria erupts in laughter, one of the students drops his tray as they kept going.
Kiyomi was annoyed and said: "you're the human version of expired milk!!!"
"And you're the reason shampoo bottles have instructions!!!".
"You look like you're parents looked at you and said….Eh…good enough"
"And yours must've looked at you and said…let's hope she grows out of it!!!".
Kiyomi finally had it and spoke back saying: "you know what? forget it…arguing with you is like playing chess with a pigeon you knock all of the pieces, make a mess, and somehow still think you won…."
The whole cafeteria laughed at niko, she then got so angry that a vein pop out of her forehead.
Kiyomi smirk and replied: "what's the matter…did i hit a nerve hahaha".
Niko clenched her fist and said: "oh you're so gonna get it now…" she approached her but Hiro and kyle got in front of her and hold her.
"That's right hold that dog really thigh…we don't want her making a mess in here hehehe".
Momo covered her mouth and whispered: "oh uh…"
Niko snapped: "THAT'S IT!!! she tried to brake free, "I'LL KILL HER!!!"
kyle struggled to hold her and said: "niko calm down!!".
Hiro also replied as he tried to hold her while pushed forward: "yeah, she's only trying to get through your head!!!".
"I AM GOING TO SHOVE MY HAMMER SO FAR UP HER ASS THAT SHE WONT BE ABLE TO SIT DOWN FOR A WEEK!!!" Niko kept getting angrier as she tried to break free.
Chiaki and the girls started to laugh at her, niko got pushed for far that her fangs started to show very slow.
Kyle saw that niko started to growl and nudge Hiro pointing at her.
" oh crap, if niko loses control every one will find out" Hiro gasp and whispered.
Before things got more out of hands, Crimmson walk in front of Chiaki and her friends.
Chiaki stopped laughing and said to crimmson: "oh look, another one like them…let me guess you're with Akari and the loser squad hahahaha".
Crimmson's eyes locked on chiaki's and said with a menacing tone: "…leave…"
Chiaki didn't find crimmson a threat and replied back: "and why should i do that…I'm the most popular girl in this school and everyone has to listen to me….princess…"
The atmosphere in the cafeteria felt dense and cold at the same time, crimmson kept staring at chiaki but this time her eyes went further deep into her soul…her tone shifted lower and more menacing as chiaki couldn't move or respond back, she noticed something was wrong and immediately told the friends to leave, as soon as chiaki and her friends got out the atmosphere in the cafeteria changed back to normal.
Cassie slowly walked to crimmson and ask: "are you ok crimmson?"
Crimmson took a deep breath and closed her eyes: "yes, I'm fine…"
"Crimmson just doesn't like it when people mess with their friends that's all, she gets really upset" scarlett replied to Cassie.
"Oh, well she doesn't have to worry we got each other's back and now that we are friends we will also have yours too".
"I know and for that we are truly grateful, if you excuse me i have to go to the bathroom…crimson can you come with me? Both of them walk out.
"Well that's one problem solve, now to deal with the other one", kyle, Hiro,lily and Akari were trying to calm niko down, cassie sigh and whispered: "this is gonna take a while.."
"Not really, all niko need is something to snap her back to herself" momo said while walking to niko.
"Like what?"
"Like this...hey niko who's about we all go to the pizza place like Hiro said".
Niko shake her head and got back to normal saying: "are we really going to eat pizza?!"
"Of course we are"
Niko took a deap breath and said: "ok, ok i'm calm".
"See i told ya", momo said gigglin.
After school
The guys were outside the gates of the school, they were ready to go except for Hiro who was going to the park to meet up with crimmson.
"Are you sure you don't want to go with us Hiro?. Ask Akari holding her backpack.
"Yeah i mean it's not gonna be the same without out you", momo whispered.
"Do you want me to tag along?, i mean is not that I don't trust her it's just that we don't know who are they and what are their intentions are…for all we know they could be working for Cecilia or that crazy Dr." Lily said to Hiro feeling worried.
"Thanks for your concern lily but i'll be fine i promise".
"Well if you get in trouble just call us and will show up" niko said leaning on the school wall.
"I doubt it niko…you'll be to busy stuffing your mouth with pizza…" Cassie said chuckling.
Everyone laughed.
Momo walk to him and gave him a big hug and said: "will save you a big slice of pizza".
"Thank you momo, well i better get going i don't want to keep Crimmson waiting ", he wave goodbye and stared to walk to the park. All of the girls wave goodbye, Niko turned to face akari and said:
"Do you think that they are going to kiss?"
"I doubt it.."
"Bet you 20 bucks they kiss"
"Deal"
Both of them shake their hands.
After walking for a few minutes Hiro got to the park and saw that crimmson was sitting on the bench waiting for him, he then approached her as she looked at him smiling.
"Sorry i'm late crimmson"
"It's ok, i just got here a couple of minutes ago"she move a little so that he could sit next to her.
Hiro walk to the bench and sit next to her, "sat where is scarlett?"
"She just went to the grocery store to get us something to eat for tonight".
"Well that's nice of her, taking care of you like that".
"We are sisters, we look up for each other, kinda like you and your sister".
Yeah they do, even if sometimes drive me a little crazy"
"Let me guess…niko?"
"Hehehe you got it".
Both of them laughed
Crimmson looked at her hands and said: "can i ask you something Hiro?"
"Of course you can, tell me what's on your mind".
"Do you believe in destiny?"
"Destiny, what do you mean?"
Crimmson look in the sky and said: "have you ever wondered what's your purpose in life?, like why you were born and for what reason?".
Hiro also looked up thinking: "to be honest i haven't given it much thought about it…but to be honest i would also want to know was the future has for me".
"What if someone decided you're future for you, what if they told you that you were born for something but deep down inside you know it's not true and you know you were destined for something else something more important".
"You have given it some thought huh…"
Crimmson look at him and whispered: "i just wish i would know…like i got this feeling deep inside me that's trying to tell me something but i just don't know what it is…it feels like a wall inside my heart, and i don't know how to break it…"
"Then don't break it"
"What do you mean Hiro?"
"That wall maybe not there to keep you away from your destiny, maybe it's there because you're not ready to see what's on the other side.
"But what if i never figure it out?"
"Then we will figure it out…together".
"We?"
"Yes we, you don't have to carry the weight of you future by yourself crimmson…that's why you have friends to make sure that when yu stand infront of that wall you'll have someone else to break it and be there for whatever the future holds for you.
Crimmson looked at him with a gracefully smile and said: "do you really mean it Hiro?".
"Of course i do, and you can count on my sisters to help…also cassie and kyle",he got up and extended his hand.
Crimmson saw his hands and slowly reached for it whispering: "….Hiro…."
"I promise to be here for you no matter what"
Crimmson closed her eyes and a smiled at him: "thank you Hiro, you're words means alot to me".
"Well look at you too holding hands like that…" said scarlett holding two bags, "any seconds later and we might have a wedding hehehe".
Hiro and Crimmson let go of each other's hands and blushed looking away.
"Hehehe i was just teasing you two"
"My god scarlett what did you buy?" Said Hiro looking at the bags.
"Oh this?….it's just something for tonight, I'm feeling extra special today hehehe".
"Well it looks like you two are going to have nice dinner tonight"
"Sure we are hehehe",she smirk playfully and said: "say Hiro wanna come? I'm sure Crimmson would love the company hehehe".
Crimmson's eyes got widen and blushed: "scarlett cut it out!".
Hiro got flustered and tried to speak: "well i uh…
Scarlett chuckled and said: "I'm just just messing with you, but seriously next time you should join us i can make a mean stake".
"I promise i will"
The wind kept blowing as the there was a moment of silence inside Crimmson's head, she slowly turned to face Hiro and gave a soft smile.
"Well we better get going this bags are getting kinda heavy, thanks for everything in school…see yaaa".
"Good bye Hiro, i will hold on to you're promise.."
"So will i crimmson take care".she smiled and run to her sister, both of them wave goodbye and left.
At that moment Hiro's communicator began to rang.
"Hiro are you there!!? Hiro come in…HIRO!!!!"
"Yes i copy Honda, what is it…"
"We need you back at the aircraft now, there's an emergency".
"Ok i'll just go get the girls".
"There's no need we already contacted them and they are in there way, we pin point you a location so that we could pick you up try to get there as soon as possible ok!!".
"Ok i'll be there",he look at his comunicator and started to run to where Honda told him: "by the sound of Honda's tone i bet it's cessiar and Cecilia…i better gte there as soon as possible and hope that we are not to late!!".
