Third person's POV
The following day, Aiden had been released since Kai was apprehended as the culprit behind the weapon theft.
As Aiden walked away from the dungeon with Roselia at his side, unease gnawed at his conscience although anyone would have believed he would be relieved to know he had been cleared of the false charges.
"Kai doesn't look like someone who would commit that crime. I don't know him that much but something just doesn't feel right with this whole situation" Aiden pointed out.
Roselia nodded in agreement, her expression troubled as she remembered the confusion and fear written all over Kai when he was dragged away.
She heaved a sigh before speaking up;
"Right! I also feel that something is amiss but the evidence against him is so damning. So he must undergo trial according to pack law."
Aiden exhaled deeply, running a hand on his disheveled hair.
