"Kyle, how was it?"
In a giant throne room filled with radiant light and divine brilliance, an angel, its face and body obscured spoke to the Quasi Rank 4 angel who had just entered.
Hearing this, Kyle bowed slightly.
"He escaped, but I placed the curse on him. He wasn't anything close to Rank 4, so he should die soon," Kyle responded.
"That's good…" The being paused before continuing.
"It seems these new demons are far stronger than we expected. And he… he is an anomaly. A Quasi Rank 4, yet less than a million years old."
Kyle's expression shifted slightly.
"He is strong…" Kyle whispered.
"But he's dead now," she added, reassuringly.
"You did well. For now, you may withdraw from the angel and demon war if you wish, or continue. The choice is yours," the being said.
"Thank you, Adjoint…" Kyle crossed her arms over her chest as she spoke, then stood and left.
"Heh…"
"Why would I pass up the chance to kill even more demons?" Kyle grinned.
