Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: Human powerhouses

Hearing this, Void found it oddly exciting. Watching the chaos unfold around him—the players (demons) slaughtering one another—he felt a strange sense of belonging. It almost felt like home. Taking a deep breath, Void decided to check the servers before starting his killing spree… ah, I mean leveling up.

He opened the Regional Server tab.

This one belonged to Server 201 and contained only demons.

---

I.AM.THE.EMPEROR: I fucking love this! Being a demon is the fastest way to level up. I'm already at Level 149.

BLACK GOAT: Weakling. I'm already a middle-level demon. Bow before me.

DRAGON KING: Indeed. And this game is fair. I was reborn as a middle-level demon—a Rank 2 existence. My advice? Level up quickly and destroy worlds. The bonuses are excellent.

The chat went dead silent. A Rank 2 existence? That was a monster among monsters. The stillness lasted only a moment before chaos returned.

TITAN004: @DRAGON KING, sir! I am the prince of the Titan Civilization near the Azarus Star Field. Would you take me along to level up? My father will thank you personally. (Translated from another language, so the phrasing may sound odd.)

DRAGON KING: @TITAN004, very well, young one. Your father and I are old friends. Message me privately.

TITAN004: @DRAGON KING, thank you, Lord! Sending a friend request now!

"...Fuck."

Void stared at the chat in disbelief, then quietly left the regional server. That place was crawling with big bosses—it wasn't meant for a small-time Rank 0, Level 40 demon like him.

Closing the regional server, he opened the Planet Server and regained a bit of confidence.

---

ODIN'S GOD: People! I am a God! Level 15! Tremble before me, my servants!

ARCHANGEL: Idiot. I'm an angel, Level 14, and almost caught up. What god?

MONSTER PIG: I'm a monster pig! This Universe: Limit Breaker game is awesome! I'm already at Level 30!

CROC OF AZARUEL: Boss @MONSTER PIG, take me with you!

BIG BEAUTY GIRL: Anyone want to help me rank up? I have a teleport scroll to my planet. I'll come to your side and give you some benefits in real life…

---

Void sighed, shaking his head at his fellow humans' naivety. A Level 30 being considered a boss? Please. Still, he couldn't resist typing a few words. After all, he was human, and their civilization was fighting together.

---

VOID: You people are naive. Your so-called "big boss" at Level 30 is a weakling here. You're just Rank 0—barely a young demon.

ARCHANGEL: You… how dare you @VOID! What level are you then?!

ODIN'S GOD: Yeah, fool! A Level 30 is a boss—a high-ranking official!

VOID: Idiots. I'm Level 40, dumbasses.

(Nice one, MC, hehehe.)

MONSTER PIG: Enough. Look at my stats:

{Name: Monster Pig | Race: Pig | Bloodline: Ancestral Lightning Titan Pig (Rank 2)}

{Status: Young Piglet | Height: 10 meters}

{Strength: 98 | Speed: 45 | Stamina: 85}

{EXP: 10/2800 | Level: 30}

WOODEN GRASSHOPPER: Holy shit! Boss! Elite Boss @MONSTER PIG! I'm Level 50, but my stats are still lower than yours!

BIG BEAUTY GIRL: @VOID, come out! Show us your stats!

ODIN'S GOD: Yeah, show us! Besides, as a God…

{Name: Odin's God | Race: God | Bloodline: God's Blood (Rank 2, Peak)}

{Status: Young God | Height: 4 meters}

{Strength: 30 | Speed: 28 | Stamina: 40}

{EXP: 100/800 | Level: 15 | Divinity: 1}

MONSTER PIG: Wow, your stats are higher than mine were at Level 14. Train well—you'll be a pillar for humanity one day.

ARCHANGEL: True and wise words, @MONSTER PIG. But where's @VOID?

VOID: Here. And please… stop embarrassing us.

{Host: Void | Race: Demon | Status: Young Demon}

{Rank: 0 | Level: 40 | Height: 18.4 meters}

{Strength: 320 | Speed: 320 | Stamina: 320 | Magic: 40}

{Skills: Locked | EXP: 0/28000}

---

The entire human server went silent.

Those stats were monstrous.

And yet, Void wasn't done.

He uploaded screenshots—images of the 50- and 100-meter demons, their stats, and the regional chat he had seen earlier.

The so-called powerhouses like Monster Pig were speechless. In that moment, they realized just how vast the gap was between mortals and supreme beings.

---

CHAOS: Void is right. Your vision is too narrow.

{Host: Chaos | Race: Dragon (Demonic) | Status: Adolescent | Rank: 0}

{Level: 100 (Peak Rank 0) | Height: 64 meters}

{Strength: 3,580 | Stamina: 2,898 | Speed: 3,000 | Magic: 1,850}

{Bloodline: Giant Demonic Dragon (Rank 3)}

The chat exploded again in shock. More powerhouses began revealing their stats—Battle Angel, Python God, Dog Emperor, Celestial Fairy, and others.

But after the initial frenzy, the server grew quiet. Void shook his head and exited the planet server. He didn't even bother checking the galaxy or universe rankings—he knew it would only depress him. Mental health always came first.

For humanity, he was still strong. Not the strongest, but formidable nonetheless. He also realized that demon bloodlines were absurdly powerful compared to others. Still, one thing bothered him—was this game heading toward faction vs. faction or players vs. NPCs?

After some thought, he concluded it was likely the latter. This was a civilization war, after all, and not all humans were born in the demon faction—only a select few.

Besides, Void didn't even have a bloodline, something that puzzled him deeply. Still, he decided to wait until he reached Rank 1… or met that loli fairy again.

"I have to get stronger," Void muttered, a grin spreading across his face before breaking into laughter.

If anyone saw him at that moment, they would've called him insane—but they wouldn't understand the thrill coursing through him.

Watching the chaos—the screams, the blood, the madness—Void felt alive.

For a brief moment, fear flickered in his chest… but then he smiled.

"It's still good. Better to be a demon than anything else."
