In West Hollywood, in Winona Ryder's bedroom, Andrew walked in after taking a shower, feeling refreshed. He glanced around, taking in the warm, intimate atmosphere. The soft light illuminated the room, casting gentle shadows that danced across the walls. Winona Ryder was leaning against the headboard, engrossed in a book. The sight of her in a white silk nightgown, somewhat revealing and elegantly draped, made Andrew's heart race.
"Come here, Andrew," Winona Ryder said, patting the bedhead and casually placing her book down. Her eyes sparkled with mischief.
Andrew smiled, feeling a mix of anticipation and affection. He lay down beside her, propping himself up on one elbow. "Is there something you want to tell me?" he asked, his voice low and inviting.
"Do you know Tom Cruise?" Winona inquired, her tone shifting to a more serious note.
Andrew shook his head, "No, I don't. The woman we met at the restaurant tonight, Nicole Kidman, is a newcomer from Australia trying to make it in Hollywood. I ran into her when I went to Paramount for an audition for Days of Thunder. Nicole was auditioning for a role at that time too."
Winona raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "And? How did that go for you?"
Andrew shrugged. "Judging by the current situation, not only did she get the lead female role, but she also has Tom Cruise wrapped around her finger!"
Winona pulled Andrew's arm around her shoulder, snuggling into his embrace, saying somewhat helplessly, "There are too many temptations in Hollywood! It's like a jungle out there, and you never know what's lurking in the shadows."
Andrew chuckled softly, understanding her frustration. "That's just how Hollywood is," he replied, stroking her hair gently. "Not to mention that's Tom Cruise; even other people with some status can be quite casual with women. It's a different world here."
"Don't worry too much about it; get some rest. You just came back from filming in Tampa," Andrew said as he leaned in and kissed Winona softly, savoring the warmth of her lips against his.
"Mm," Winona responded, her heart fluttering at the kiss. She took a moment to admire his physique as he removed his bathrobe, feeling the warmth of his athletic body against hers.
"Andrew, what role did you audition for in Days of Thunder, and did you get rejected?" she asked, her curiosity piqued as she felt a shift in her chest.
"Oh, it was just a small role—a minor character with a few appearances," Andrew replied, kissing Winona's neck tenderly and rubbing her chest. "It wasn't anything significant."
Winona frowned, sensing his disappointment. "You already played a supporting role in Edward Scissorhands; you got rejected for this small role?"
Andrew chuckled lightly, "Edward Scissorhands hasn't been released yet, has it? Besides, Days of Thunder doesn't have much of a plot; it's purely a film to showcase Tom Cruise's charm. That $60 million production—who knows if it can even break even?"
"Hey, is it because of Nicole that you don't think much of Tom Cruise's movie..." Winona started, but before she could finish, Andrew playfully bit her chest lightly, interrupting her thought.
"Ouch!" Winona laughed, surprised, and then feigned annoyance. "Dear, you ask too many questions!" Andrew said with a teasing smile, blocking her mouth with his own.
The playful atmosphere shifted as Andrew soon found himself lying on top of a now unclothed Winona Ryder. The bedroom was filled with soft sounds of passion, the world outside fading into a distant hum.
After spending a few carefree days in Los Angeles with Winona Ryder, Andrew finally received a call from his agent, Tracy Jacobs. He picked up the phone, his heart racing with anticipation.
"Nora Ephron praised your script for Sleepless in Seattle, saying clearly that this is exactly what she's looking for!" Tracy's voice crackled with excitement over the line.
"Alright, got it. I'll come to New York for the discussion as soon as possible," Andrew replied, hanging up the phone with a sigh of relief. He felt as though he had taken a significant step forward in his career.
"Dear, is it good news? Ms. Jacobs even called my house," Winona said as she approached him, her face lighting up with curiosity and delight as she hugged Andrew's waist.
Andrew placed his hands on Winona Ryder's shoulders, his heart swelling with pride. "Tracy spoke with Nora Ephron in New York. She's very satisfied with the script and plans to make Sleepless in Seattle her directorial debut."
Winona's eyes sparkled with excitement. "That's fantastic! So what do they want from you now?" she asked, her enthusiasm infectious.
"They want me to come over to help persuade Castle Rock Entertainment to invest in this project!" Andrew exclaimed, his mind racing with possibilities.
"Oh, do you have confidence?" Winona inquired, clearly happy for Andrew's success.
"Of course," Andrew's eyes gleamed with determination. "Castle Rock Entertainment, founded two years ago, is run by experienced producers and directors. Their first film was When Harry Met Sally Sleepless in Seattle, with its strong script, is better than When Harry Met Sally… Castle Rock won't miss out on this opportunity."
Winona nodded, her admiration for him evident. "Plus, Castle Rock has a distribution contract with Columbia TriStar. When When Harry Met Sally… did well enough, Columbia TriStar greenlit another film of this type."
Andrew continued, his voice filled with excitement, "As for the discussions between Japan's Sony Group and the Coca-Cola Company about acquiring Columbia Pictures, that's not something I—a small fry—need to worry about right now."
"When are you going to New York then?" Winona asked, her expression shifting slightly, clearly reluctant to see him go.
"As soon as possible. I'm planning to fly to New York tomorrow," Andrew replied, eager to get things rolling.
"It's the end of August now. Who knows when we'll see each other again?" Winona said, her voice tinged with sadness. She also had to go shoot Mermaids and Night on Earth, and neither was staying in California!
"It's okay; it's not like we'll always be busy," Andrew said, leaning in to kiss Winona softly on the cheek. "I'll always come back. You know that."
"Here's the key to my house," Winona Ryder handed the key to Andrew, her eyes serious. "If you don't want to go home, just stay here instead. It's quieter than Northridge, and you can rest better. I'm often away shooting films these days and don't come home much. If I come back and find you here unexpectedly, I'll be very happy!"
Andrew's heart swelled at her thoughtfulness. "You—" he chuckled, accepting the key and hugging Winona tightly. "When we have time, I'll take you to Petaluma in Sonoma County for a few days. Didn't you say the scenery there is beautiful?"
"Yes, the tall redwood trees, and we can run around in the woods and ride bikes," Winona said, her smile widening as she thought about their future adventures. She didn't have many friends and deeply appreciated Andrew's care and attentiveness.
"Kissing and chatting on the grassy shores of Lake Lutz in Florida was such a memorable and wonderful time for me," Winona recalled, resting her head on Andrew's chest for a moment. She then turned serious, adding, "No bringing any women into my house!"
Andrew laughed, shaking his head. "Oh, how could I do such a thing? You're always overthinking. If you think too much, it will lead to depression."
Winona looked at the handsome man before her and couldn't help but smile, her worries momentarily forgotten. "Andrew, but this is Hollywood. If you succeed in the future, there will be many temptations! You can't just ignore them."
Andrew lifted Winona's chin, forcing her to meet his gaze. "For now, I'm still at the bottom," he reassured her, "Are you thinking too far ahead?"
"Mmm…" Winona sighed, hugging Andrew's neck and kissing him passionately, her fears dissolving in his embrace. They stayed in that moment, wrapped in each other's warmth, as the world outside continued to spin.
After a while, they pulled away from the kiss, breathless. "I guess we should talk more about this, huh?" Andrew suggested, running his fingers through his damp hair, feeling a mixture of excitement and trepidation.
"Yeah, I mean, we can talk about your future and everything," Winona replied, still caught up in the intimacy of the moment. "But I want you to promise me something."
"Anything," Andrew said earnestly, sensing the gravity of her request.
"Promise me that no matter how big you get, you won't forget about the people who matter. Don't let Hollywood change you," Winona said, her voice sincere.
Andrew nodded, his expression serious. "I promise. You mean too much to me, Winona. I won't forget where I came from, or who I am. Not ever."
"Good. And don't forget about me, okay? I want to be there when you make it big," she said, her eyes glimmering with hope.
"I wouldn't dream of it," Andrew replied, cupping her face in his hands, his thumbs brushing her cheek. "You're my muse, and every time I write, I'll be thinking about you "
