"What are you thinking about?"
Mu Shaochen had always been worried that his darling Wanwan, often in the company of Zixian, could very well be whisked away by the boy someday.
And there was Chu Yiheng, brazenly daring to bring it up.
He scoffed, "You should worry about finding yourself a wife first before thinking about your son's affairs."
On the other end of the phone, Chu Yiheng said, "Getting a wife isn't something you need to concern yourself with."
"Good, then I'm hanging up. Don't bother my Wanwan for no good reason. She's pregnant now and shouldn't be overworked."
"Shaocheng, if we're being this formal with each other, isn't that a bit strange?"
Chu Yiheng changed his tone, "A grand gesture would be so tacky. Instead, I could groom Zixian for you, so you won't have to worry about finding a son-in-law in the future..."
He hadn't finished when the line went dead.
Chu Yiheng stared at the call log on his screen.
