That evening, Qin Wan returned home very late.
Despite the doctor's statement that her condition wasn't good, the Old Madam awoke feeling rather well.
Perhaps it was the company of the two lovely little ones, Enen and Xinxin, that lifted her spirits significantly.
It wasn't until 8:30 pm, after Qin Wan had bathed her, that she fell asleep.
Enen and Xinxin had been taken home half an hour earlier by Lei Dong, Feng Yan, and two other bodyguards.
Qin Wan waited until the Old Madam had fallen asleep before she left the sickroom.
"Miss Qin, is the Old Madam asleep?"
Ji Feng, seeing her emerge in the corridor, immediately asked with concern.
Qin Wan nodded, "Grandma is asleep."
Her voice paused slightly as a hint of hesitation swept through her eyes, and then she spoke to Ji Feng, "Keep a closer eye on Xu Shuqin and Zhu Tiantian these next couple of days."
Surprised, Ji Feng asked, "Miss Qin, what's wrong? Is Aunt Xu not taking good care of the Old Madam?"
