Reiger had unleashed his Disintegration Magic with all his might, blasting Woodworth's hellhound out of the crater and causing entire city districts to dissipate wherever the crimson wave passed.
Disintegration Magic, capable of breaking down all matter in the world, even Magic itself: this was the only attack Reiger could think of that might be effective against Woodworth's hellhound.
If his Disintegration Magic could break through its protective layer, then Woodworth would undoubtedly be defeated.
Conversely, if his Disintegration Magic couldn't deal with Woodworth's protection, then Reiger indeed had no way to penetrate Woodworth's defenses and inflict harm at the current stage.
