Lin Tian pushed aside the sword hilt, revealing what was underneath—an inconspicuous black ring with a dull surface. He picked it up and rubbed it a few times; the ring had a slightly rough feel and a weight that made it impossible to discern its material.
This kind of ring is so unremarkable that it could be tossed on the street without anyone bothering to pick it up. Lin Tian hadn't noticed it at first.
"Brother Lin Tian, are you seriously choosing this black iron ring?" He Shan asked in surprise.
"That's right, I'm choosing it," Lin Tian smiled, looking indifferent.
"Cough, cough..." He Shan choked, completely unable to understand Lin Tian's choice: "We've had many people appraise it; aside from its hardness, this black iron ring is utterly useless. To say it has use, maybe an archer could barely make use of it."
Archers generally wear rings to protect their fingers, but such rings can be made from any piece of iron and are not of great value.
