A few minutes later, Steve came out of the interrogation room and nodded at Luo Zheng. Luo Zheng knew that the two had come to an agreement and was overjoyed. They went to the interrogation room of another detained suspect. Initially, this person was also uncooperative, but Steve presented the female suspect's testimony. In order to survive, the suspect chose to cooperate, with the condition that Steve would pay a sum of money, arrange for a legal passport, and safely escort him out of the country without future retribution.
Steve agreed after consulting the President. Two witnesses were much more persuasive than one. Luo Zheng noticed that their testimonies didn't directly point to Jackson; they just followed orders from their superior, whom they didn't know, only having a means of contact.
