The vast primordial forest was shrouded in moonlight, a gray haze. The breeze softly blew, rustling the leaves. Strangely, the dim woods were devoid of their usual clamor—no crickets chirped, no night birds flew, and the tree-dwelling monkeys were nowhere in sight. The air was filled with an unsettling, murderous tension. A figure quietly stalked through the forest, moving swiftly from behind one large tree to another. It was a mere blink of an eye, and only the shadow flickered; the actual form was indiscernible.
More eerily, the sound of the stealthy movements was inaudible, like a voiceless ghost flitting through the woods. Occasionally pausing as if to observe something, the figure's speed suddenly increased again when sprinting forward. In mid-run, the black shadow agilely dived to the ground, landing silently, and began crawling forward.
