"Chi Yue... Yueyue..."
"Sister-in-law, where are you?"
The clear voice approaching entered Chi Yue's ears, pulling her thoughts back to the present.
She responded to the shouts above with a trembling voice, and not long after, the sound of footsteps neared, soon followed by Nan Bingyu's howling and wailing voice.
Chi Yue was rescued and brought up, but on the way to the hospital, she fell into unconsciousness once again.
In her haze, she heard Nan Bingyu crying like a child, along with someone sobbing quietly beside her.
"So... so noisy..."
All sound disappeared, and Chi Yue drifted back into peaceful sleep.
When she opened her eyes again, she saw a tall figure sitting in front of her bed, holding her hand and looking down; she couldn't see his expression.
But she could feel the grip on her hand growing tighter and tighter.
Chi Yue frowned, attempting to pull her hand back, but to her surprise, she awoke the man.
