The phone's ringtone continued incessantly, but Chi Yue stared unwaveringly at the man in the driver's seat.
"Not answering the phone?" the man suddenly spoke.
Chi Yue pursed her lips, hung up the call, and sent a message to Nan Yuan.
After a few exchanges, Chi Yue put away her phone and looked again at the man in the driver's seat, "Why are you here?"
"Why can't I be here?" he countered.
Chi Yue took a deep breath, "Fu Rongyin, what on earth are you doing? You clearly showed up at the scene, yet you didn't come forward. What are you really up to?"
The man glanced back at her, "Did you hope I would appear to complete the engagement ceremony?"
"Whether I hope so or not, it has no direct link to whether you show up. You..."
Chi Yue suddenly paused and squinted at him, "Are you listening to me?"
