Chi Yue had been sleeping groggily when she faintly heard footsteps in the room and suddenly jolted awake, "Who?"
Turning on the bedside lamp, a tall man stood by the bed. His imposing figure seemed slightly different from her memory, but also seemingly the same.
Chi Yue's wariness slightly relaxed as she asked with a stern face, "What are you here for?"
The man spoke softly, "Isn't it you who called me back?"
Only then did Chi Yue remember that she had messaged him.
She calmly got out of bed and put on a coat, "Reeking of alcohol, I'm going to make you hangover soup."
Halfway there, his voice reached her from behind, utterly cold.
"No need. What did you call me back for?"
Chi Yue stopped in place, her hand at her side clenched into a fist, "This is your home, you haven't come home for so long and haven't left any messages, so I..."
"Haven't you already seen the divorce papers?" His tone was faint, casual as if he was talking about the weather.
