The next day, Jiang Mansion received a delivery—a large box with Jiang Wei's name written on it.
Yang Lan thought it might be some cosmetics, but upon opening it, she found a very odd box engraved with the name Bai Zhen.
When Jiang Wei came down from upstairs, she saw Yang Lan staring at the box and, out of curiosity, came over. Together, they discovered that the box contained Bai Zhen's ashes.
It was a warning, an admonition for Jiang Wei.
Jiang Wei understood clearly; Tang Yan had already found out but had not yet made his move. He probably wanted to keep the peace, so he sent Bai Zhen's ashes as a message to her that this incident should be overlooked, but if there were another time, he would not be merciful.
Having grown up in a wealthy family, she had never encountered such a situation before. She was so frightened that she turned pale, and her pregnancy made her look even more haggard.
"Ah! Take it away!"
