Everything that just happened, including Lin Zifeng's deliberate act of courting death, can be said to be executed to perfection; with even the slightest deviation, Lin Zifeng would have been completely annihilated by now.
For a long time now, Lin Zifeng discovered that he has a very bad habit, which is when unleashing a killing move, his body always loves to remain in place without moving an inch.
The Heart Demon, having inherited Lin Zifeng's disposition, is the same. Just now, when it threw that sword at Lin Zifeng, if its body had surged forward, Lin Zifeng would probably have been pierced through the heart instead of the lower abdomen.
Precisely because of this, Lin Zifeng was able to use the powerful momentum to dodge the Purple Giant Dragon's killing move, whereas the Heart Demon, with its intense killing intent against him, wouldn't think of dodging.
"Boom..."
