Despite Liu Zhizhong believing he's done nothing wrong, the fact he was taken by the provincial disciplinary commission is still widely known, understood by those in the know.
In officialdom, certain widely spread rumors and affairs always bring about significant impact.
Good news doesn't leave the house, bad news travels a thousand miles, sigh~~~
Although Xiong Wenwu's issue hasn't been exposed yet, many people and things connected to him are indeed affected.
Perhaps, without finding him, nothing official will be announced, but those implicated are in trouble.
Now, even Dongnan City is acting on higher instructions, indicating that Xiong Wenwu has been hospitalized due to illness and is temporarily stepping away from his post.
Liu Zhizhong is aware of this information, meaning the organization won't announce Xiong Wenwu's downfall, and perhaps never will. Later, they might just close the case with a simple death due to illness.
