Jing Shu never understood why she was knocked unconscious every time the Magic Cube Space upgraded. Even if it was a system update, couldn't it update online? Why force an offline interruption? It delayed so many of her tasks, especially when this was prime time to collect as much as possible.
However, Jing Shu quickly figured it out. The Magic Cube upgrade was like a Doctor administering anesthesia before surgery—opening your skull, inserting something, and then you'd wake up dazed after the upgrade was done.
If no anesthesia were used and they simply stuffed things in, she'd probably die of pain.
As her consciousness grew increasingly scattered, Jing Shu's headache intensified, and large beads of sweat began to form. It felt as if millions of insects were gnawing at her brain. This pain surpassed any she had experienced before!
