Xiao Zheng had no idea what was happening outside the Cloud Desolate Forbidden Land.
The sudden appearance of the Elf Goddess was likewise something he had never factored into his plans.
His original plan was simply to use the Cloud Desolate Forbidden Land to shake off Xia Ya and the others' pursuit. After all, his injuries had yet to heal; he had no way to fight. The terrain inside the Cloud Desolate Forbidden Land was complex, and with so many demon beasts, it was undoubtedly a natural barrier.
But although the Cloud Desolate Forbidden Land could help him temporarily block Xia Ya and the others' pursuit, everything has its pros and cons: it could help him escape, but it could also become the place where he fell.
So after entering the Cloud Desolate Forbidden Land, Xiao Zheng's movements became exceptionally cautious.
In ten minutes, he advanced less than thirty kilometers.
Along that stretch of road, danger kept occurring without pause.
