The two girls were filled with frustration, but the bus had already left, so they could only touch their empty stomachs and look towards the other food stalls around them.
"That spicy pot seems pretty good..."
They were discussing when suddenly they noticed that all the stalls around them were hurriedly packing up!
Even those selling shoe insoles and knock-off athletic shoes were collecting their stalls like their pants were on fire, rushing in all directions as if someone was chasing them for debt.
In no time, the area was empty, even the scattered bits of litter were cleaned up thoroughly. Looking around again, there were still many students bewildered, yet everyone felt a strange sense of desolation.
The air suddenly became quiet.
The students stood where they were, looking around, exchanging puzzled glances.
Some students nearby wondered aloud, "What's going on?"
After a while, someone answered, "Is it the city management coming? This month's checks are strict!"
