In the apartment at Jinxi Mansion, the fish tank that Shan Yingxin hadn't gotten around to placing in the foyer was bizarrely trembling slightly on the coffee table.
The tank, filled to eight parts with water, sent ripples layer by layer across the surface, forming countless waves at the center which spread to the bottom as strings of tiny bubbles. Something translucent and paste-like there was undulating with the water's motion as well.
Gradually, the trembling of the water became more intense, and the fish tank, moved by some unknown force, drifted aimlessly, albeit in small increments. Since the coffee table was only so large, it quickly reached the edge.
Once the center of gravity finally shifted off the edge of the coffee table, the fish tank fell to the floor. Full of water, it was really heavy, and despite the thick layer of pure white wool carpet on the floor, the sound of the full tank hitting it was still quite muffled.
