"Sir Auscard of Lan!"
"Lady Rugerbert of Venhill!"
"Lord Valitis and Lady Calantha of Ashwood, Guest of the Crown!"
"Duke Runvon, and his Lady, Luvenden of Denvile!"
As the Herald called out the guests' names, Vlad leaned toward Belladonna and whispered, just before their turn,
"You'll say your name to the Butler. He'll whisper it to the Herald."
"But," Belladonna said softly, "I am no guest. And take it to your thoughts, that my name is quite unique. So it be, if I say it to the Butler, and the Herald announces it, my presence would be known."
Vlad replied, "Tell him a fake name. And why the long sentences? You could've just gone straight to the point."
"Well," Belladonna said, lifting her shoulders, "I wanted to have the same tone you possess..."
"I sound nothing like that," Vlad replied, narrowing his stare.
"Oh course you do," she protested. "You speak with words so long, it makes no sense..."
"Oh Belladonna, that's terribly wrong."
