Encouraged, Ethan smirked and went on,
"Then there was Falling Stars, where I played the broken-hearted billionaire. The scene where I cried in the rain? Yup. That was me. Real rain. Real tears."
The women covering their mouths with excitement looked ready to faint.
One grandma actually wiped her own eyes.
Ethan leaned forward, lowering his voice dramatically.
"And of course... Knight of Fire." He paused for effect.
"The movie where I rode a horse, fought twenty men alone, and saved the princess."
Gasps exploded around him.
A little boy tugged Ethan's pants and asked in awe,
"Did you really ride a horse?"
Ethan placed a hand over his heart and nodded solemnly.
"Without falling once. Trained for six months with real knights."
The villagers clapped so hard the drums started again without anyone meaning to.
Even Tara's father, who yesterday looked ready to kill him, was now beaming proudly at his "son-in-law."
The villagers couldn't get enough of him.
