Love and Poetry
To love is to understand poetry,
And to understand poetry
Is to embrace love's mystery.
One flows through the veins,
The other through the air,
Yet both bind souls everywhere.
Love is tangible—a hand to hold.
Poetry is intangible, unseen by the eye.
Both are emotions, deeper than the sky.
You cannot conquer love, nor poetry;
They break all orders, all rhyme,
Transcending the barriers of time.
You surrender to them, as life to death,
As night to dawn, as breath to breath.
They are two branches of the same tree,
Both are chained, yet both are free—
One is called love, and the other, poetry.
