The night has long since faded,
Between the carousel of June.
The aroma seems therapeutic,
Making the body feel immune.
Lanterns light the misty sky,
Atop the roofs, where they belong.
Mixed with laughter and sacred joy,
Listening to the silent song.
Crowds and crowns in the street,
Unknown faces tuning sweet.
The ferris wheel groaned in the breeze,
Blinking through the early trees.
Standing in awe of the magical ride,
Weaving the eve in solemn grace,
Living the moment side by side,
Shielding the smiles upon their face.
