Chapter 421 - Ch.421 Spider-Man’s Nexus

In the boundless sea, an unremarkable barren island stood alone.

At the island's peak, Corrupted Charlie overlooked a massive crater at its center, his brow slightly furrowed.

"The lingering demonic aura of the Mountain Demon Po Kong remains. That guy really guessed it right," he muttered.

As he spoke, he glanced at Arthur, who was stealthily observing him from the side.

"My big son, keep having your friends search the area."

The Mountain Demon, instead of lurking on land, had ventured into the depths of the sea—something extraordinary must be happening.

Hearing Corrupted Charlie's address, Arthur's expression grew even stranger.

"Uh… Father, from the start, you've seemed… off. Is your condition getting worse?" he asked tentatively.

Corrupted Charlie shot him a sidelong glance. "Say that again—I'm not sick!"

Arthur instantly understood.

A mentally ill person would never admit they're unwell, so his father must truly be sick.

When dealing with a gravely ill father, one must be cautious, cautious, and extra cautious to avoid triggering a disturbed mind.

So, he walked to the shore and spotted a sea turtle laying eggs.

"Hey, beautiful, interested in making a friend?" Arthur crouched down and extended a hand to the turtle.

The turtle stared blankly at the man before her, its eyes brimming with disdain.

"Foolish human, we're different species. Don't even think about hitting on me." It turned back to continue laying eggs.

Arthur shook his head. "I'm not into turtles. Just looking to make a friend, that's all."

At those words, the turtle turned back in surprise.

"You can understand me?"

"Of course. I'm Aquaman, the future Aquaman—assuming my mother ever steps down."

"Aquaman? That's your name?" The turtle paused its egg-laying.

Arthur smiled, pulling out a piece of seaweed to feed the turtle. "I'm Arthur. Aquaman is… well, a title, you could say. Can you tell me what happened here recently?" he asked.

The turtle munched on the seaweed and said, "Can I finish my business first?"

It was still laying eggs.

Arthur grinned cheekily. "You can lay eggs and talk at the same time."

"Arthur, you're a real sea jerk."

The turtle cursed but continued, "A few days ago, a super terrifying creature passed through here."

"A green one?" Arthur pressed.

"Yes."

The turtle elaborated, "It was huge, majestic, and… captivating. My type, honestly. Shame it was female, but I could overlook that."

Arthur: "…"

Whenever his father summoned him, he always ended up meeting the strangest characters.

This overly flirtatious turtle was one of them.

Seeing the turtle finish laying its eggs, Arthur helped cover the eggs with sand.

"Is it just you here?"

He looked around. "I heard turtles gather to lay eggs together."

The turtle shrugged. "The others were eaten. I'm the only one left."

"Eaten? By who?"

"That captivating big guy."

Arthur: "…"

"Alright, buddy, you're a true warrior."

He stood, dusting off his hands. "Thanks for the info. If you see something like that again, let me know. My number is—oh, right, you don't have a phone." He caught himself.

The turtle slowly turned, crawling toward the waves. "Aquaman Arthur, if you're looking for that creature, follow me. I know where it went."

"Huh?"

Arthur raised an eyebrow. "You know?"

"Of course. I've lived long enough to track its movements. I'm guessing it's heading to the ocean depths for treasure. I can take you there."

"Treasure?"

Arthur blinked, confused. "They're demons. Demons don't need treasure."

The turtle glanced back at him. "Young man, you know nothing of my experience."

Arthur scratched his head. "Fine, you should go. Maybe I'll take you to an aquarium someday, introduce you to some male turtles. You know, the ones there don't have it rough—you'd be a real catch."

Before he could finish, Corrupted Charlie appeared behind him.

"Follow it."

"What?"

Arthur turned. "You can understand it?" He was shocked.

Corrupted Charlie shook his head. "No, but I can understand you."

Arthur tried to reason, "Father, it's just a turtle. We don't need to trust it."

Corrupted Charlie gazed at the turtle crawling into the sea, musing, "Trust is a feeling."

Arthur: "…"

With no other choice, he summoned a nearby great shark to carry them, following the turtle into the ocean depths.

Since the turtle was too slow, Corrupted Charlie formed hand seals, and dark energy instantly enveloped the turtle's body.

Whoosh!

In an instant, the turtle shot forward like an arrow, racing into the deep sea. The sudden change left Arthur stunned.

Even the turtle was bewildered.

"I'm so fast! Too fast! Mom, I'm the pride of the turtle clan!"

The turbo-charged turtle swam gleefully.

Arthur and Corrupted Charlie followed closely behind.

"Father, what did you do to it?" Arthur asked, curious.

Corrupted Charlie replied expressionlessly, "Nothing much. Just gave it a propeller."

Ahead, the dark energy around the turtle formed rotating tendrils—the secret to the fastest turtle in history.

Before long, the trio arrived near the waters of Miami, Florida.

"This area has plenty of shipwrecks. The treasure you humans love is right here," the turtle said, stopping.

Arthur: "…"

He relayed the turtle's words to Corrupted Charlie, then gave a deadpan look.

"Father, your 'feeling' was wrong. It really brought us to hunt for treasure."

Corrupted Charlie carefully sensed the surrounding space and smirked. "No, we're in the right place."

He gazed at the mysterious Bermuda Triangle. "Not just Po Kong's demonic aura—there are traces of other demons too. They've gathered here."

With six demons assembled, something extraordinary was afoot. He had to investigate.

"My big son, let's move!"

With that, Corrupted Charlie abandoned the turtle and dove into the sea.

Arthur followed closely, then asked curiously, "No need for the turtle to guide us anymore?"

"No need. I've already sensed their presence."

As he spoke, Corrupted Charlie's speed surged, stirring wild undercurrents in the sea.

Gurgle gurgle~

At the deepest part of the sea, shipwrecks were piled atop one another.

Inside the heavily corroded hulls, five demons radiated their unique demonic auras.

These auras, under the Bermuda Triangle's unique magnetic field, began to merge, forming a magic circle inscribed with strange symbols.

While channeling their energy, Po Kong clutched its "shriveled" stomach, grumbling.

"There's so much food on Earth—why do we have to go there? I'm starving!"

The Wind Demon snorted. "All you think about is eating. The invincible Spider-Man already took down Bai Tza. We're next on his list, and he's got the Eight Immortals' artifacts. If we don't leave now, it'll be too late."

Po Kong whined, "But Po Kong is hungry!"

"Bear with it," said Tchang Zu, the Thunder Demon, glancing upward. "Once Tso Lan uses the moon's gravity to align the teleportation coordinates, we'll leave this world for good."

Hsi Wu, the Sky Demon, nodded. "Yes, we'll escape this dangerous place and conquer that world called Asgard!"

"Hahaha, sounds thrilling! Those guys are gods!" laughed Dai Gui, the Earth Demon.

At that, Super-Skrull Loki, lurking in the corner, gave a nervous chuckle. "Congratulations, mighty demon lords, on soon becoming masters of gods."

"But I want to eat you," Po Kong said, eyeing Super-Skrull Loki greedily.

Super-Skrull Loki: "…"

He forced a laugh. "No rush. I'm just a lowly Frost Giant. Asgard's gods are far tastier." He stepped back, avoiding the ravenous gaze.

The next moment, the moon's gravity shifted abnormally, and a pale beam of moonlight shot toward Earth, plunging into the sea.

At the ocean floor, the moonlight targeted the demons' auras, activating a hidden teleportation array.

Buzz~

Instantly, colorful lights erupted. Po Kong shouted excitedly, "Yes! It worked!"

Tso Lan, the Moon Demon, descended via the moonlight, his gravitational waves enveloping the demons.

"Though we lost Bai Tza and Shendu betrayed us, weakening our power, this magnetic field allowed us to open the portal successfully."

Tso Lan laughed. "To the new world!"

"To the new world!"

"To the new world!"

As the demons shouted in unison, the shipwrecks vanished into warped space.

When Corrupted Charlie arrived, he found only a chaotic seabed.

The murky waters swirled as he stared at the spot where the demons had disappeared, his brow furrowed.

"Too late. Where did they go?" he murmured.

The next moment, Arthur arrived, bringing a familiar figure.

"Father, this dark guy was looking for you. I ran into him on the way," Arthur said, pointing to a frantic Dark Thor.

Thor, spotting Corrupted Charlie, was overjoyed.

"I didn't expect to find you here! You must know Loki's plot. He's taking strange creatures to Asgard to conquer the realm with their power."

He stepped forward urgently. "Invincible Spider-Man, please help me!" He bowed.

At those words, Corrupted Charlie pieced it together.

"So, they went to Asgard."

He chuckled lightly. "Odin's power is waning. They picked a good time."

He turned to Dark Thor. "Lead the way."

Dark Thor looked embarrassed. "The Rainbow Bridge was destroyed by Loki, so we'll have to get to Asgard ourselves."

Corrupted Charlie: "…"

What a bunch of useless gods.

"What do we do?" Arthur asked.

Thor examined the site's traces and guessed Loki's plan.

"With enough dark matter, combined with this area's anomalous magnetic field and the moon's gravity, we can teleport to Asgard," he said.

"Dark matter?"

Arthur scoffed. "We're proper superheroes. How could we have dark matter? Do you even know what you're saying?"

Before he finished, a surge of dark energy erupted.

Arthur: "…"

While Corrupted Charlie and the others headed to Asgard, Charlie, in Wakanda, temporarily set aside his trip to Mephisto's Hell.

He decided to handle his own matters first.

Buzz~

A portal opened. He first sought out Jean Grey at the X-Mansion, then traveled to Symbiote Tony's universe to find Scarlet Wanda.

With their Chaos Magic and Phoenix Force, he easily repaired the Time Tablet.

With the aid of Elios's Void Power within him, he finally pinpointed the timeline where young Wanda and Pietro resided.

It was a dark, windy night.

Atop the Empire State Building, the past Charlie removed his mask, awaiting the Green Goblin's arrival.

Behind the antenna tower, Wanda and Pietro hid, observing Spider-Man's every move.

"Tonight's the night Spider-Man dies. If we save him, we'll learn the future's outcome," Pietro said.

Wanda frowned. "Isn't that reckless?"

Pietro grinned. "It's an experiment." He took a sip from a juice bottle.

Wanda: "…"

"That's Charlie's."

"I know. I stole it."

"Why would you do that?"

"I'm broke."

Meanwhile, Charlie, waiting for the Green Goblin, coughed.

"Damn thief. Without my juice, I'm weak all over. I'm definitely done for this time."

He cursed under his breath. Then, a green streak blazed across the night sky.

Soon, Norman, clad in Green Goblin armor, hovered in the air, his sinister golden eyes sizing up Charlie.

"Hey, Charlie, glad you came. I need your help."

"So it's you, Uncle Norman. That's your armor? It's cool, though the design's not perfect—simple but with personality."

"You don't have to talk."

"Alright, I just meant your armor isn't as stylish as my suit."

"Go to hell!"

Boom!!

Before the pumpkin bomb could detonate, crimson energy enveloped it.

Sparks scattered within the scarlet magic. Norman's eyes widened.

"No, what's happening?"

"It's you two!"

The past Charlie also spotted Wanda and Pietro.

Seeing the duo causing trouble again, Charlie gritted his teeth and stomped.

"What a mess! Why are you two everywhere?"

As he spoke, a mysterious force seized the pumpkin bombs from Norman's waist, hurling them toward Charlie.

In that moment, time seemed to slow.

Norman gasped, "S~top~!"

Charlie gasped, "I'm~done~!"

Wanda gasped, "It's~him~!"

Pietro gasped, "R~un~!"

Boom!!

The next second, the pumpkin bombs exploded. In a flash of white light, the future invincible Spider-Man was obliterated, his red-and-blue suit swept away by the high-altitude winds.

Norman stared blankly at the fallen Spider-Man. Before he could react, a sharp pain struck the back of his head, and his body went numb as he lost consciousness.

Bang!

The Green Goblin collapsed, revealing another Charlie behind him.

"Having fun?"

The Charlie who'd crossed from the future glared darkly.

Wanda shielded Pietro, quickly explaining, "Wait, we can explain!"

"I'm not listening. You're not getting away."

Without hesitation, Charlie activated the Rat Talisman, bringing a sword-shaped toy to life.

Buzz!

"Nexus!!"

Instantly, a brilliant light erupted, a spark shooting into the night sky before forming a radiant curtain that enveloped the entire Empire State Building.

The Meta Field!
