Chapter 209 - Ch.209 Spider-Man Believes in the Light

"It's Little Spider!"

Under Old Steve's delighted gaze, a dazzling meteor streaked down from the sky, locking onto the seemingly invincible Kang the Conqueror.

At the same time, Thanos leaped high, blade in hand.

Boom!!

The blade tore through the air, three hundred tons of force crashing down with terrifying momentum.

Buzz~

Boom!!

As the blade struck, the radiant meteor hit Kang's energy shield from another angle.

Crack crack!!

Boom!!

Magical energy spilled out, and the ground around Kang cracked into a spiderweb pattern, spreading rapidly.

Bang bang bang

As the ground fractured, nearby tech soldiers shattered under the immense shockwave.

Inside the energy shield, Kang felt the pressure from the duo. His face darkened as he extended his second hand, no longer treating the fight lightly.

Through the blue shield, he glared at Thanos, who was relentlessly swinging his blade, a flicker of irritation in his eyes.

Looking up, he saw Spider-Man's body transform into a monstrous form amid blood-red mist. Blood-colored tendrils whipped fiercely, each strike rivaling Thanos' power.

"Damn bug! If those guys hadn't stolen my time powers, you wouldn't stand a chance!!"

Charlie grinned. "Whoa, so that's it. No wonder Kang the Conqueror's so weak. Thanks for sharing the Easter egg."

In the movies, Kang, who once destroyed countless multiverses, was defeated by the Ant-Man family. What seemed illogical now had a reasonable explanation.

In a flash of thought, an electric arc spider crawled onto his chest.

Zzzzt~

Boom!!

As the electric arc spider's power fused with magical energy, Charlie's muscles bulged.

In Hydra mode, tendrils wrapped around his body, forming a blood-red drill.

The drill spun rapidly, electric arcs and magical energy converging into a vibrant, sparkling tornado.

Buzz!

Crack crack~

The blue shield developed a fingernail-sized hole under the tornado's assault.

"What?"

Kang's eyes widened, and he roared, his single hand unleashing a blinding beam.

Buzz~

Boom!!

Thanos was sent crashing into the ground by the beam's impact.

"Damn bug, I'll kill you again!!"

Kang's eyes glowed, his suit's gravity device at full power. The massive sparkling tornado collapsed under an invisible force, and Charlie's figure disintegrated into scattered magical particles.

"What?"

Seeing Kang's terrifying power, the group's faces fell.

"No way, even Little Spider's no match?" Old Steve rubbed his eyes, incredulous.

Before he could process, a familiar voice boomed from the sky.

"Just broke one clone. No big deal."

"What?"

Seeing Charlie reappear, both the Avengers and Kang were stunned.

"How? You should be dead!"

Watching Charlie swing down, Kang's face darkened further.

Charlie shrugged. "Sorry, I was just playing with a clone. You didn't take it seriously, did you?" He flashed an international gesture, taunting boldly.

"You dare underestimate me!"

Kang gritted his teeth, his armor sparking with endless arcs. Both hands unleashed even fiercer energy beams.

Rumble!!

Boom!!

The rampant energy swept everything indiscriminately—Avengers, tech soldiers, no one was spared.

In the hellish battlefield, nano-armor zipped by.

"Damn, why'd this guy suddenly go berserk?" Infinite Tony muttered, puzzled.

Old Steve grabbed a tech soldier as a shield. "From my observations, villains facing Spider-Man have a high chance of going berserk."

Peter Parker swung to dodge exploding debris. "Nah, I've never had that happen."

"Because you're not a proper Spider-Man yet."

Peter Parker: "."

On the other side, Scott clutched his foot, hopping to a corner. "Help! This place is too scary—I wanna go home!!!" he wailed.

"Have some backbone."

Thanos spun his blade, deflecting incoming debris and energy.

Glancing through a hole in the wall, he spotted an odd figure.

"What are you doing?" Thanos frowned.

Seeing this guy, he felt an urge to kill him.

In a battle-damaged room, Wade patted his portable speaker.

"Think it's broken."

He looked at Thanos, scratching his head. "I'm practicing my dance moves! Carry on, don't mind me. Oh, wanna star in my movie series? The audience would lose it if you showed up."

Thanos' frown deepened.

"Nutcase!"

He muttered, dodging a flying boulder.

Boom!!

The boulder crashed into the room, smashing Wade into pulp.

Thanos' mood instantly improved.

"Hey, Purple Potato, let me borrow your body."

Charlie swung behind Thanos' hulking frame.

He squeezed Thanos' muscles, nodding in approval.

"Nice and firm. Looks like souls and bodies are no different in the Quantum Realm."

Thanos glanced at Charlie. "What's your plan?"

"Launch you, obviously!"

After a running start, Charlie kicked Thanos toward Kang, annoying the titan.

"Bug, don't let me catch you—"

Mid-sentence, Kang's ferocious assault engulfed Thanos.

"Argh!!"

Under the terrifying energy, Thanos floated, his durable body feeling intense pain, leaving him incredulous.

"Did he learn this from Wanda?" Old Steve blinked.

"Old man, you should start a cheer squad so your contribution isn't zero," Charlie quipped, forming hand signs. Six clones leaped into action.

"Let's try something new."

"No problem!"

In midair, the six clones formed signs, each spawning more clones.

Then, those clones cast the clone technique again.

Soon, the sky was filled with countless Spider-Men.

"What?"

The sight of endless Spider-Men descending sent shivers through the group.

"Motherf—, how can this thing infinitely multiply?!" Old Steve exclaimed.

Infinite Tony landed beside him. "Relax, the Supreme Sorcerer's got more clones."

"It's not the same."

"No, we're all the same."

The swarm of Spider-Men swung toward Kang.

"Get lost!!"

Seeing the countless Spider-Men, Kang's face twisted. He blasted Thanos away with one hand, then swept the sky with laser beams, disintegrating clones.

But for the Spider-Man army, lost clones were a drop in the bucket.

Even without Kang's attacks, they'd vanish after seven seconds.

Yet seven seconds later, more Spider-Men kept coming, showing no signs of slowing.

At the battlefield's edge, the spider totem under Charlie's feet dimmed rapidly.

In seconds, the clones had drained one totem's power.

A second totem appeared, sustaining the clones.

The experiment's results satisfied him.

The clone technique could create seven clones matching his strength, lasting seven seconds but wielding all his powers.

Including magic.

This allowed clones to spawn more clones, refreshing the time limit in an infinite loop.

The downside? More clones meant weaker ones and faster magic depletion.

With seven spider totems, seven clones could maintain peak strength—his best option.

More would just produce Spider-Man fodder.

As the third totem's energy drained, Charlie locked onto Kang, swarmed by the spider nest.

Without his time powers, Kang relied solely on his high-tech armor.

Thirty-first-century tech was powerful, unable to breach Thanos' defenses but enough to keep him at bay.

But "thirty-first-century tech" was relative.

In many universes, Dr. Pym discovered Pym Particles in the twentieth century.

Compared to that, that was the real cheat code!

Done playing, Charlie had bigger fish to fry.

"Time to wrap this up."

He slapped several Pym Discs onto himself, his red-and-blue body expanding a hundredfold in a flash.

No, he kept growing.

Crack crack crack!!

Chronopolis shook as a red-and-blue giant, dwarfing even Giant Scott, appeared.

"What?"

Under Kang's horrified gaze, a colossal shadow loomed, engulfing both him and the Spider-Man swarm.

One clone knelt, hands raised, shouting, "Argh~ The Old Buddha tricked me!!"

"Haha, that's hilarious."

"Fun! I'm in…"

"Argh! Spider-Man tricked me!"

As clones wailed, the giant foot crashed down, crushing Kang and the clones into dust.

Boom!!

Chronopolis quaked, dust rising as the red-and-blue giant stood, one fist at his waist, the other raised.

Behind him, a small sun cast golden light, framing him like an ancient god.

Old Steve and the others gawked, their cheeks twitching.

"Did you hear that?"

"What?"

"Who's the Buddha?"

"No clue."

"Why's Little Spider holding that pose?"

"Guessing he's honoring his idol."

"Isn't he embarrassed?"

"Clearly, he's never embarrassed."

Gwen emerged from the rubble, shaking her head.

"I wanna leave."

She asked Old Steve, "Does summoning Spider-Man only last an hour?"

"Yup."

Old Steve eyed Gwen, still here. "The Quantum Realm has no time. You've got plenty to bond with Little Spider."

Gwen's face darkened. "No way. Captain Carter would be pissed."

"Carter?"

Hearing the name, Infinite Tony's nano-helmet retracted.

He gave Old Steve a weird look.

Old Steve avoided his gaze. "Just the same name. Different people. Don't stir trouble now."

Infinite Tony hesitated but stayed quiet.

They weren't young anymore—no need to cling to quirks.

He looked at the red-and-blue giant. "How long's he staying like that?"

"Soon."

Old Steve waved. "Little Spider, I got your photo."

"Nice."

Charlie looked down, ripping off the Pym Discs.

Buzz~

Light flickered, and he returned to normal size.

Staring at the massive foot-shaped crater, Charlie jumped in, searching.

"What are you doing?" Gwen asked.

Without looking back, Charlie said, "Checking if he's dead."

The group's expressions shifted.

"Such a cautious Spider-Man. He must be solid in his universe," Scott said, impressed.

Old Steve's mouth twitched. "He means he hopes Kang isn't dead."

"Why?" Scott was confused.

Venom Parker, silent until now, spoke. "Because dead is more trouble."

Scott: "?????"

These guys were too weird.

Sadly, Charlie found Kang's body in the crater—a pile of mush.

He grumbled, "Ugh, thirty-first-century tech is so outdated. At least add a teleportation device to escape. What's the point of stacking attack and defense?

And you showed up so early—what was that about? All those soldiers just for show?

Oh, and I heard you say you'd kill me again. Sorry, I was thinking the same…"

After muttering, he leaped out of the crater.

He scanned the group. "Next, we find his Time Machine. It's broken, but if we fix it, we can use it to get back to reality."

"Idol, I can—"

Wade approached, only to be punched away by Charlie.

"Slacking heroes don't get lines."

Old Steve and Peter Parker exchanged glances, lowering their heads guiltily.

Thanos frowned. "Where do we find the Time Machine?"

Charlie turned, pointing at the triangular tech tower nearby.

"Answers should be there."

"Then what are we waiting for?"

Thanos strode toward the tower, soldiers scattering but refusing to leave.

He shook his head slightly.

"Kang's dead. His Chronopolis is a massive fortune. A power struggle's coming."

Charlie hurried after him.

"There's no place for you out there. This place suits you. Think about it," he said.

Thanos fell into deep thought.
