Valery smiled too, closed her eyes, and let time pass. Time passed quickly, and before Valery realized it, it was almost time for them to leave. She looked over at Miss One, who hadn't stopped brushing her hair the entire time.
"Miss One, I was thinking of leaving my blood here so you could operate. But you all have my blood, so I hope I can count on you to operate on the vampires I conquer in my absence," Valery said as she returned to her serious expression and subtle smile.
Valery stood up and smoothed her dress, stretched, and prepared to leave. There were 20 minutes left before two hours had passed.
Valery had told Victor that they would leave in an hour. But she preferred to give him an extra hour to prepare as best he could. Even she could sense that Snow's vampires were rushing to fulfill Victor's requests.
