The doors then opened. Adelaide entered, followed by someone even more important than herself, Valery herself. As soon as they noticed Valery's arrival, everyone stood up respectfully and greeted her with courtesy and respect.
"Our Queen," they all said.
"You may sit down," said Valery as she approached the corresponding seat and sat down.
Silence fell over the room like a calm sea with a large predator. No one wanted to be the first to speak; after all, it was not a meeting with an important topic to discuss, such as war or strategy, in which case they would have more confidence in the subject. Instead, the topic of discussion was mainly what the change of power would be like now with the arrival of the archdukes.
