Chapter 811 - 811-My Dimple Friend

She began to frown, her fists clenched as she stared at me.

"I don't want to remember all that. Don't make me remember," she said, stepping back.

"Why not? Do you not remember how we used to steal cookies from that old man's bakery?" I asked, smiling at the memory.

"No, I never stole them," she complained, as always.

Back when we were ten, we would steal cookies from this one old man. I don't know why we loved to annoy him. Then our parents would go and pay for all the cookies we had stolen by the end of the week. Sometimes, when we didn't go to steal cookies, he would come to our homes to check on us.

"And you know that old lady's dog that loved us more? She would get so annoyed," I laughed, and Lucy began to sniffle back her tears. I could tell she was holding back a laugh, a smile, a little crack in her expression.
