"You mean to say, her mother?" Norman asked.
"But wasn't she killed by Zharns?" Kaye questioned, and Maximus shrugged.
"I don't know. We don't know. All we know is that the Zharns fed on her. You leave any dead body out there, and they will feed on it. But the main question remains the same. Who did Charlotte kill for this mate bond?" The way Maximus said it made all of us turn back toward the mansion. And all we could see was Charlotte walking out with a tray carrying cupcakes and a smile on her lips.
