A year later
I wandered through the hallways of the White Moon pack house, searching for Ramsey.
The afternoon sun streamed through the tall windows, casting everything in that golden light that made even the most ordinary moments feel magical.
The soft murmur of voices led me to the nursery, and I paused at the partially open door to peek inside. What I saw made my heart swell with such overwhelming love that I had to press my hand to my chest to contain it.
Ramsey was stretched out in the oversized rocking chair we'd specially ordered, his shirt unbuttoned, with tiny Charmaine sleeping peacefully against his chest, her red-blonde curls catching the afternoon light.
In the matching chair beside him, Lenny held little Calen with the same gentle care, his brown hair so much like my own fanned across Lenny's broad chest as he dozed.
