The longer the battle persisted, and the lack of communication between me and my Captains continued, the more unsettled I became about our situation and my plans.
I had long since abandoned any attempts at trying to get Shaihffer to understand the severe gravity of our current predicament. His foolish nonchalance was becoming intolerably vexing, the more I watched him linger around in unfazed stagnation.
Growing far too restless about the prolonged radio silence of our COMs, I attempted to try and contact Shannon once again.
"Shannon! Give me your report! What's your current status?!" I demanded impatiently, unable to control my irritation.
After three more attempts, I gave up trying to establish contact, and decided to pronounce her as MIA or K.I.A. to my remaining sqauds, until I was notified otherwise.
–Sir, this is Serene... Can you hear me?
"Yes, go ahead, Serene." I replied, relieved to be getting her unexpected transmission.
