Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: Cultivation

"It seems I finally got rid of him."

Haziqa stopped running, looking exhausted.

"I can finally rest."

He collapsed onto the ground and began to recover.

"After seeing his huge body, I didn't expect his voice to be like that… haha. Maybe I'll bother him from time to time."

For the first time in years, Haziqa laughed. He was happy to have spoken to someone after such a long time.

"By the way, he called me a weak flame when he first noticed me. It seems I'm also one of those blue flames," Haziqa concluded.

Then he continued:

"He also mentioned something about cultivation while absorbing the blue flames… could this be useful in some way?"

"I can only try it. I've got nothing to lose anyway."

Haziqa attempted to replicate the same process, but he failed.

"Damn! Did I miss something?"

"Ah… thinking about it, wasn't he sitting in a squatting position at that time? Could that help in some way?"

The boy's eyes lit up, and he tried again with the new adjustment.

After some time, Haziqa opened his eyes.

"Damn… the method is missing something."

After several attempts, there was still no result.

"I need to find an expert."

His eyes sparkled as he made a bold decision.

"Damn that weak flame… I wasted so much time and effort chasing him. Tsk."

The Sky Cloud Spirit was furious, then returned to his area to continue his cultivation.

After several hours, he kept cultivating until he sensed Haziqa entering his territory again.

"Hmph… he has the nerve to return. I will extract his soul essence and use it for cultivation… hahaha."

He flew toward Haziqa and said:

"I commend your courage for coming back. Do you truly wish to die, boy?"

"Great spirit… I didn't mean to offend you earlier. Will you forgive my wrongdoing?"

Haziqa replied with a remorseful expression, though a sly laugh echoed in his heart.

"You—"

Before the spirit could finish his angry sentence, Haziqa interrupted him slyly:

"I know someone as great as you would never bully the younger generation over something so trivial."

Hearing the praise, the Sky Cloud Spirit's mood shifted from anger to pride and satisfaction.

Haziqa noticed this and silently laughed to himself before continuing:

"Actually… I hesitate to ask you for a favor, my lord. A favor only someone of your greatness could accomplish."

After being praised for a while, the Sky Cloud Spirit felt a surge of superiority and joy.

"Whatever you request, this great one shall grant it."

When the boy mentioned his desire to learn cultivation, the spirit hesitated and wanted to refuse:

"T-this…"

But Haziqa did not give him time to finish.

"I knew something like this would be too trivial for you, my lord. Then I shall rely on you."

He added:

"After all, the great never go back on their word."

The spirit's face turned pale.

"A-ah… you can count on me."

Haziqa laughed wickedly, while the Sky Cloud Spirit let out a relieved sigh.
