"This brat." Obito cursed inwardly, no longer calm under the mask. Letting Chinatsu's kunai pierce his heart, he asked in a deep voice, "I made sure there were no flaws. How did you see through my fake death?"
Obito's Izanagi could last more than ten minutes.
At this point, not even a minute had passed, so he wasn't in a hurry.
Chinatsu originally planned to delay until Izanagi expired. Seeing Obito unhurried, she didn't rush either and began to speak seriously while bluffing:
"Of course, I realized it the moment I saw your Sharingan. Don't forget who I am—the daughter of the Fifth Hokage, Tsunade."
"Speaking of which, I must thank Akatsuki. The matter of Danzo transplanting First Hokage cells and Sharingan was exposed by Fujiwara Kirito from your organization."
"My mother, as Hashirama's granddaughter, couldn't tolerate that. So, she decided to take action against Danzo."
"But Danzo got wind of it in advance. To escape punishment, he defected before the order was issued."
"However, the monk can run, but the temple remains. Due to his hasty escape, the Root base was left behind."
"The records within Root held many secrets—including a forbidden technique called Izanagi."
"By sacrificing a Sharingan, for a limited time, any damage you suffer becomes illusion, and any attack you launch becomes reality."
"It's essentially an unbeatable jutsu—if the enemy doesn't know it."
"Since you have Sharingan, I naturally had to account for that. Do you think I would've jumped into battle otherwise?"
The Konoha ninja under the tree were horrified. They hadn't expected the Uchiha Clan to have such a secret technique.
Only Kakashi looked puzzled. As a top jonin and student of the Fourth Hokage, he was a likely Hokage candidate.
He had personally led the raid on Danzo's lair.
So why couldn't he recall discovering Izanagi?
(ps: It was actually taken by the protagonist long ago.)
"Danzo, that bastard..." Obito recalled Danzo's pale, lifeless face and burst into laughter, "Hahahaha."
Another Uchiha clown among the Four Laughing Heroes had been born early.
"What are you laughing at?" Chinatsu, in full dramatic spirit, frowned knowingly.
Obito stopped. "I see. You really are Tsunade's daughter. Whether it's ninjutsu, taijutsu, or timing—you excel."
"And when fighting me earlier, you could look into my Sharingan without being caught in genjutsu. You have high genjutsu resistance."
"No wonder that twisted Fujiwara Kirito chose to teach you. But you're still too naive."
As he spoke, Obito turned into a blur and reappeared behind Chinatsu. The space around his right eye distorted, and a powerful suction activated—he tried to pull Chinatsu into Kamui's dimension.
But Chinatsu had already read his intentions.
The moment he appeared and activated Kamui, she struck with a Chidori Sharp Spear.
The lightning blade pierced Obito's body again.
Losing chakra control, Kamui shut down instantly.
"How… how is this possible?" Obito couldn't keep calm. This was the first time he used Kamui teleportation in front of Konoha, only for it to be dismantled so easily by a girl.
Chinatsu taunted him, "Stop wasting energy. Like I said, you only materialize during attacks."
"That time-space ninjutsu similar to Kakashi's left eye counts too."
"And you seem mistaken. Fujiwara Kirito didn't teach me just because I'm talented."
"It's because my chakra and perception are on par with his."
With that, Chinatsu slashed Obito in two again with her Chidori.
Before Obito's body could fade or vanish, Chinatsu quickly threw kunai toward the 3 o'clock direction with her other hand.
As soon as Obito tried to reappear post-Izanagi, the kunai struck his vital points dead-on.
Chinatsu called out, "Everyone, I've fully analyzed his ability! When I give the signal, strike where I tell you! Don't hold back—I'll tell you where he'll resurrect next!"
Kakashi and the others nodded and began watching Obito with amused expressions.
Obito's scalp tingled under their gazes.
Now, the spotlight belonged to Konoha.
"You're unlucky to meet my precious daughter. Whether you survive depends on your luck." Outside the Uchiha base, Fujiwara Kirito used his observation Haki to clearly sense the battle.
Smirking, he turned to the woods ahead and said, "Come out, my son."
A sharp wind howled. Sasuke leapt from the trees, landing thirty meters away with his right hand gripping his sword hilt.
"Why are you here?" he asked coldly.
"Obviously—" Kirito took a step forward, but before he could finish, Sasuke recoiled dozens of meters in a flash, as if seeing a ghost.
Kirito stopped, stunned. Apparently, the trauma of their last battle had left a deep scar in Sasuke's heart.
"Relax. Just like how I spared Orochimaru repeatedly because I wanted to see who would win between you two—I'm also curious how your fight with Dai Takako will end. I won't interfere."
Sasuke clearly didn't believe him. He kept his sword half-drawn, Mangekyō Sharingan active, never taking his eyes off Kirito.
Kirito didn't explain further. He had only come to let Mrs. Mikoto see her dying son Itachi one last time.
As he examined Sasuke's Mangekyō, a thought struck him. In the original story, Sasuke didn't have it when he fought Itachi. Suddenly, a mischievous grin crept onto Kirito's face.
Since Itachi was doomed anyway, why not let Sasuke get another beating?
With that, Kirito smiled maliciously at him.
